Nope.
It’s not politicians.
Or taxes.
It’s not your environment, your family, or your job.
It’s not.
“Mike, you’re wrong on this one, what is it?â€
Amigo, move in a bit closer.
Maybe people will resist the answer.
They will. I can’t do anything about that though.
Move in a bit more.
I’ll whisper it in case it upsets you.
(SELFISHNESS)
“What?â€
I’ll say it louder.
***SELFISHNESS
Your SELFISHNESS is your greatest THREAT to your wealth.
I know this first hand because it bit me too. (Ouch)
Every day, I speak to people who are so SELF ABSORBED in
their own fears, doubts, and worries that they BURY their
talent and leave thousands of people starving for their God
given gifts.
The INWARD MIND can’t get rich.
It’s impossible to create TRUE, GENUINE, and LONG TERM wealth
this way.
Start with Proverbs, head towards Orison Swett Marden, drive
towards Wallace Wattles, say hello to Napoleon Hill; they’re
all saying the SAME thing.
***What precedes REAL WEALTH is REAL SERVICE.
Sow sparingly, you reap sparingly. This is one of the secrets
of the ages. You know this.
Put your past hurts behind you and START thinking OUTWARD.
Start thinking about who you can encourage today, bless
today, and be a friend to.
Do you know what we call people who don’t plant any SUCCESS
SEEDS?
We call them employees who hate their jobs.
Stop being so impatient and start planting thoughts and seeds
of success.
There can be no HARVEST where there’s not first SERVICE.
Read this 2 times. Scratch that.
Read this 5 times, at least.
***Become OBSESSIONAL about rendering USEFUL service and
today will be the poorest day of the rest of your life.
Many people say, “I’m unselfishâ€, but if they look closer
they’re not as unselfish as they think.
Let me end with this one more time.
***Become OBSESSIONAL about rendering USEFUL service and
today will be the poorest day of the rest of your life.
Love Ya! You’re The Best!
Your Coach,
Mike

Thanks a lot! Bless you!
Well said! I love that quote, so much so that I’m going to print it out and post it on my wall (a couple of them)!

So True!
Actually, the only Truth is in the Present…
What (who?) was the Creator’s greatest Gift?
One can only Live now – even when we think about the past or the future – we think about it now…
That’s the Truth!
Be the Truth…
Thanks a heap, Mike, for the reminder.
Cool and very useful post. Thank you.

This is absolutely true! The more you give the more you get.
You are soooooo right Mike, I thank you for everything you say to the people on your list, unselfishly, sharing your insites.
I would like to share this one with you about Courage as an acronym is:
Continuing
Onward
Under
Rigorous
And
Grinding
Experiences

Ditto on those who complain.
Complaining is one of the most selfish actions. Greatest waste of time ever. Rather than complain, invest that time in changing things. (start with yourself)

Mike I would like to reinforce that being in service
is being in service to otherselves – as we are all one.
Effectually, when you look in the eyes of another person
you are seeing yourself – as there is only one presence
and power in the universe of which we are individualized expressions.
Now you know why it works – polarizing toward increased love and understanding brings you to service to others.

Spot on about the fact that we all believe ourselves to be unselfish, self sacrificing and hard working, when in reality the opposite is usually closer to the truth.
Hands up anyone who has really performed a selfless task for a friend or stranger without seeking a reward? I don’t see many hands.
I really enjoyed it too. Thankyou!
Did the same, and put it on my wall.
Mike:
Your words ring true to me. I never really thought of it that way before. It is much easier for me to serve than to be served.
Another way of putting it is that “Givers Gain”!!!
Thanks again for reminding me of this simple truth.
David
I’ve heard it said many ways, but I say “You can’t outgive God”. He returns 100 fold! Thanks Mike:)
Wow, the more I dwell on it the more I am comvinced it is really TRUE!
Great point Mike and a very important reminder in these times. Alot of people don´t think that they´re being selfish but still spend most of their time thinking about their own “stuff”, instead of using their greatst talents and passion in the service of others. A point greatly exspressed in your interview with Joe Schroeder some years back. Thanks alot.
Mike, wow, ouch, yes you are right ‘Selfishness’ and self doubt. we all have in us amazing wealth and yet we ponder and wonder. I know this because for years I have been pondering, but now when I am in the valley with my finances, I must survive and the only waya to do this is to share and be of service to hundreds and thousands of people with the information I have within. I will become from today ‘Unselfish’

Well said, Mike! Thanks…I needed the reminder!
Mike,
This reinforces the thoughts that I have been having for the last two days! I am going to print this out and keep it in front of me at my office and in my car.

This is a great blog! You have just reinforced the thoughts I have been having for the past few days!! Thank you for always being an encourager and always being right on the mark!
Mike, you never cease to amaze us with your simple yet powerful knowledge. Today, instead of sending out a quote of the day, I will send this article. Thank you thank you thank you.

Oh Mike!
This is so apt.
Your insights are truly fantastic.
Thank you for giving.
Mike as usual you are spot on! No pain no gain and no planting no harvesting! I just looked around me affter reading this and realised how my every existence is the product of the selfless service of so many!
Mike once again I thank God that we met.
Give, give, give, give of your talents. Don’t look back.
The more you give the more you get.Don’t give to get, give because you love to give.God will do the rest.
Thanks for sharing,
Sonny
Mike, you’re spot on again!
Service is what it’s all about. I used to “get” this on a logical level, but not an emotional level. Being tied up with your own challenges and frustrations IS selfish.
Now I get it on an emotional level too and it’s making a real difference to my business AND my customers. Thanks Mike – you’re a brilliant coach!
