It's time to shake and bake, are you in?
Great.
Onward.
I don't know how old you are, though I do know there's a
good chance you're not going to be alive 100 years from now.
Follow me here.
In everyone's family line, we always hear stories about
elders who lived before us or individuals we knew only when
we were very young.
We might hear about how people met, what they did for a
living and stories about them personally.
Maybe they had a good sense of humor, they were a hard
worker, or a great parent.
Let me ask you a question.
What do you want your GENERATIONAL STORY to be?
In 100 years from now, what do you want people to say about
your life?
Will they talk about your courage, your strong desire to
help others, the strong business you built?
Will they talk about your love of people, the good friends
you had, the strong habits you possessed?
You're reading this right now. This says so much about you.
I know you truly want to leave an incredible GENERATIONAL
STORY to future generations, am I right?
Great. Let me share with you a suggestion on how to do
this.
EVERY DAY WORK HARDER ON YOURSELF THEN YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE.
Over the years, we've brought too much mental mud into our
lives, way too much, the mental mud is hiding the best you.
Darkness is living where light should be shining.
We have weeds that live in our mind that need to be
expelled. They need to be SEEN, lifted, and forgotten.
If you decide, really decide, to work on yourself in a
meaningful way, you'll experience new levels of living.
More happiness, fulfillment, and joy.
Working hard on yourself isn't always easy. Let me say that
now.
My friend, your life can be a 'narrative' that motivates
your children, grand children, and great grandchildren.
What will be your generational story?
Early on in my success journey I was told, "Nothing great
as ever been achieved without stretching yourself."
Excellent advice.
Are you ready to stretch yourself over the next 30 days?
Will you start doing at least 1 thing a day you don't want
to do, so your success muscles can grow?
What will be your generational story?
We live in a world that desperately needs strong men and
strong women.
We live in a world that desperately needs leaders.
You can't sit on the fence.
You must make the choice.
Do I aspire for GREATNESS in my life? Was I born to be
great?
Or.
Am I comfortable with settling, mediocrity, and the status
quo? Was I born to be mediocre?
Mediocrity is definitely the easier path in the short term.
The choice is yours.
If GREATNESS is your destination, here's a high five. (clap)
People need you. You might not 'get this' just yet, though
you will soon. They're people who need the best you.
People DESPERATELY need living examples of the 'winning
life'.
Make your generational story a best-seller, are you in?
Love Ya! You're The Best!
Your Coach,
Michael

Hi Mike,
What I love about your writing is you cut through all the clutter and say things simply and clearly. Yet, at the same time you make me think and examine. Thank you for helping me grow, stretch, and become.

Dear Mike,
A really good friend of mine sent over to me a couple of your motivational e-mails and I have been truly blessed since. I've been laid-off work for quite some time now but I know, through the grace of God, that my success story is coming as long as I continue to work on me.EXCELLENT writting on "Your Generational Story". Perfect for going into the new year. Thanks again,
Eric
Thanks Mike. Your like a down to earth spiritual guide that has perfect timing. I love your emails and appreciate all your help so far. Signing up with your team was the best decision I've made since 2007. I know 2008 is going to be even better.

thanks. for caring enough.
Encouraging,enthusiastic & educative.Thanks
Mike,
I have learnt the following five things from today's post:
1. "My friend, your life can be a ‘narrative’ that motivates your children, grand children, and great grandchildren"
2. “Nothing great as ever been achieved without stretching yourself.â€
3. “We live in a world that desperately needs leadersâ€
4. "You can’t sit on the fence. You must make the choice."
5. "They’re people who need the best you"
I am showing my gratitude to you by implementing these FIVE things.

Hey Mike -
Your GENERATIONAL STORY will certainly include "faithful, consistent...an encourager to all. That guy really made a difference for a lot of people".
I love to read your newsletters; they are the wind beneath my wings.
Thanks a million!
Hey Mike!!!
You got a point there. What will people say about us in one hundred years. I really never gave it a thought. Maybe I should do something about it and start thinking what I can do to leave my mark on future generations.
Thanks for you emails...as usual, they are very
encouraging. Have a Happy New Year!!!
Hi Mike:
Hope all is well with you and yours
Corey and I send our best.
Keep up the great work!

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the newletters, they are full of encouragement. Your words motivate me to be a better person and the push needed to get to the next level. I am so thankful to have you as my coach. I would like my "Generational Story" to be legacy (narrative) left for others to follow, my kids and their kids. I am a winner and I am here to help others, improve their lives. I am learning to be the "Best" me I can be for someone else.
Thanks a million

I love receiving your emails Mike. I have been seriously ill for ten years from 2 car accidents and I find your emails very touching and motivating. Thank you for your kindness.
Hi Mike,
Just wanted to say that your emails are very inspirational and straight to the point. I've been getting them for a long time... you should make a new book out of them! keep them coming...
Mike,
Just a note to say thanks for all you do to inspire, motivate and educate. I know that blessings will continue to touch you and all you do. I plan to use your insight and training to make "2008 - Absolutely Great" .
Thanks !!!
Dear Mike,
I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your daily "jolt" of inspiration. I found today's email particularly profound, as it deals with our legacy. It's very "easy" to stay immersed in today's problems, and give little, if any thought, on what our overall contribution to others will be.
This last year has been particularly difficult on just about every level. Even though there has not been a moment of "ease," when trapped in the emotions generated by those issues, I must admit it does feel "easier" at times to just coast, and not deal with any of it.
I am a writer, so putting this into the perspective of a "narrative" is particularly poignant, appreciated and will, hopefully, motivate me into consistent action.
Thank you, for these much needed daily moments of elevation.
Sincerely,
Rosalie
MIKE,
This is fabulous. You are writing the truth.
Really we are full of garbage filled by the society.
It needs to be washed out.
Its my honor to open your emails.Your mails are full of knowledge which is not taught in the best of the institutions.
Thanks and Regards.

The Generational story you have just written on, is the most important thing anyone living should work on. It is all encompassing and it came in a timely period when the year is about to close, just to re-affirm the absolute need to follow through our vision for successful living. It is a good thought to carry through to our achievement.
keep em coming....luv ya babe....happy new year !!
Refreshing. Thanks Mike!
I am always touched by your letters that say that I (the reader) is important to you! And you say that you appreciate that I open and read your letters - So let this be a reinforcement or confirmation to you that I both open and read your letters.
Then you say - "Thank you for being you."
May I say the same to you!
Thank you!
Walter
Hi Mike...
This is another great topic for us!
I'm sure that I will be remembered for being determined, strong willed and downright bloody-minded at times -- I'm pretty sure about this because I get told by many people in my network! I don't do things that people assume will be the right thing for me to do.
And that's fine by me! I'd much rather be remembered like this than in a ho-hum what was her name fashion!
Best wishes
Jeanne

Hi Mike,
I agree with Tammy, your emails are the best motivational emails I have ever been blessed to receive. Your's are about the only ones I open on a regular basis - thank you!
This should be the year that we set out on our generational story.Pretend we're at the end of the year and telling someone what we managed to achieve in just 365 days- how we started with nothing and built something! thanks for your inspiration!!
MIKE,ACTUALLY YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION TO ME!
Mike,
The greatest inheritance I now have are your short, sharp, sometimes truthfully painful home truths about a persons journey in life!! You got a Gift!!! Thank you!!!
Mike, yours emails are awesome and this one on generational thinking certainly got me thinking along a new track. Thank you so much for your continued inspiration - you're making a difference in my life.
Blessings on you and yours for 2008
Carl
Mike,
I'm an older parent; 45 years old, with a single soon to be 6 year old boy! He is awesome! When I think about what you wrote, I think in terms of what my little boy is going to remember about his Dad. And when I think about that, I can't help but strive to grow, to be my best, and to truly be an inspiration for him!
Thanks for all do Mike!
Ron

> I am greatful for my ansestors, they must be did some thing right that I can be born...
> I don't have any thing to said about my grand parents or great grand parents, only heard from my parent that they are simply GOOD and NICE people...That say the same to my parent since they past away...
> I don't want my children only remember me as a Nice and GOOD father, but rather as their Hero, and by God's grace, that I also can positively touch many people's life like you already did Mike.

Happy New Year with Love, Andrea
Hi Mike,
Hope you are having a good new year,as I sit here writeing this it is allready Jan 1st 08.
your GENERATIONAL STORY made me think of my parents and grandparents to my g/g grandparents while I know somthing about them I realize there is so much I dont know,But just as important are the views of my children and grand children of me are they going to know me or just the views expressed by others, how can I change the way they see me,is the way they see me just a reflection of the way I see myself.
And if so then I need to change the way I see myself as well take action to change myself for the better I hope.
Thank you for your inspiration.
Daavid

Tom

Tony
Thanks Mike and have a great New Year. I will admit I am over 50 but I usually hang around people that are much younger than I am. Why? Because younger people usually still have dreams and want to have a good time. People my age just want to stay home and watch TV. I need to be fully independent in the next 5 years so there is no time to watch TV for me this year.
Thank you for all the encouragement Mike!
Thank you Mike,
As we talked about on the last call, ones generational story is ever so important. The two most important parts to me...
"You don't have to get it right, You just have to get it going."
One can never create a good and proactive generational story without taking these words of advice to heart!
Also, as evidenced in my own family, unless you are willing to teach and encourage those after you, your generational story will not be as great as it very well should be!
Thank you so much for your constant message of encouragement of the human capacity to reach beyond the point we are at now, and for and building up and reinforcing of the human spirit which resides in each and every one of us!
Roger
Mike
Great motivation and brilliantly delivered.
Many thanks for your guidance.
Warren
I make many of my decisions based on what would be best for my children in the long term, but it never occured to me to think about how my choices might affect generations beyond the next one. Your blog post has me thinking about how some of the generations in my family tree have made HUGE decisions that made my life what it is, without knowing it -- the decision to come to this country, the decision to leave the farm for academic work.... My father always told me that you can't plan that far into the future, but choices that I'm sure even he saw as minor have had a tremendous impact.
This is a whole new way to look at my decisions, too. Thanks for the new vantage point!
you always have the best truth to say that grows an individual, what do you do regularly to contain a reservoir of treasure as this?
i love you motivations i will wish if they were coming in daily thank you and keep the good work up
Hi mike,
As I read the generational story, I felt it was written with me in mind. The conversation with the Millionaires with people like Jim Rohn etc is simply motivational. I need to read from you every day if possible. Challenge to live above mediocrity is highest in the African Context.
Please Keep up the encouragement.
Thanks and Prosperous New Year.

Mike it sounds like you have been eavesdropping on my conversations this is what i talk about most times, i am so grateful for your messages.I actually bought conversation with milloniares 2yrs ago and since then i keep asking myself what exactly did these people do,i am willing to work on myself if only i knew the next step to take.I love you and i wish you an excellent 2008.

wat'z up Mike?
its fantastic having you there always. You are realy going the extra mile for me, am wonderfully greatful. I ve always thought about a remarkable generational story and wondered how to begin and now, here i am with a plate full of guidlins more like apricot sponge cake. I love you mike, thanks for the good job, am thanksful. hi five my guy.
Thanks for sharing
Mike, I have missed receiving your encouring words..I finally found an old email from you and was able to respond. As usual you've inspired me to "stretch" myself to do better every day. I have a tough time getting myself going sometimes, and your words help me pick myself up and MOVE rather than to become paralyzed with inactivity and the "blues". It helps to be reminded that we are all special people with significant contributions to make to our kids, grandkids, and on down the line. They need their role models to look to for their motivation and encouragement to live the best lives they can.
My greatest wish is to leave a legacy of self-pride. I challange myself to rise above the obstacles in life that can hold me back, and I try to make the absolute best of all situations that I find myself.
Having a positive mindset can move us to the successes we would have never realized if not for striving for our own personal best. Being motivated by what I wish to leave behind moves me to strive to do a bit better every day.
Thanks Mike for helping me want to be a better me!
