Oh, the goals, hopes, and aspirations that the monster
called procrastination destroys.
Add to it the negative habits of inconsistency and lack of
focus and what do you have?
Struggle.
Much of it totally unnecessary.
Completely unnecessary.
For 7 years of my life I ran around in circles.
Circles of frustration, circles of always thinking that
someone else had the answers, not me, and circles of
strife.
People who love me dearly, thought I was wasting my time as
well.
Financial struggle started entering my life in a bigger way
and I brought a bag of tears to bed on multiple nights. No
fun. At all.
"Mike, what was one the keys that helped you turn it
around?"
Simple answer, though very powerful.
Very.
I took seriously and BOUGHT INTO the philosophy of "You
don't have to get it right, you just have to get it going."
I lived it.
I breathed it.
I started to accomplish more in 60 days than I used to in 2
years.
My business started growing faster. I was growing faster.
Things were starting to shake and bake at a higher level.
Way, way too many people impose self handcuffs on themselves
because they bought into the lie called perfection.
They wait till every 'i' and 't' are dotted perfectly
before they enter the playing field.
The 'perfection mindset' is the precursor to living with
your 'entrepreneurial feet' in cement. You never move.
Frustrating.
My friend, you can stop struggling in your business.
You can start living the confident and masterful life.
You can start slaying the dragons called perfection and
procrastination.
***You don't have to get it right, you just have to get it
going.
Say it out loud:
I don't have to get it right, I just have to get it going.
You, YOU, are talented, unique, and were born to do great
things.
Get off your backside. Say to yourself, "Today is my day to
soar. It's my day to succeed."
Serve. Profit. Share. Develop.
You are a masterpiece. The world waits to see the artwork
called your life.
You don't have to get it right, you just have to get it
going.
I believe in you. You.
Love Ya! You're The Best!
Your Coach,
Michael

Amen, Mike! New to direct sales, network marketing. I wasted several months before realizing that you don't have to get it right. Just put your head down and get to work! Thanks for the reminder to all of us.
Awesome! Anything worth doing is worth doing wrong.
mike..this is great..
but he pressure to get the depression 3 minutes is PRESSURE we vey much don't want.
check that feeling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Michael, Your posting really struct home for me today. After getting close to launching my healing work business last fall, redoing the work area, etc, I kind of crashed. I no longer had something I needed to do to get started. Now after going through a major surgery in December I am back to the point that I seem to be looking for something else I need to get in place before I start. Your message today really was timely. I will get my listings up this week and get started. Funny how the mind works, I just thought, oh, have to get heat in that room when for now I can simply put the small portable heater there for now. Our minds really do work this way? Kaitlyn!
Mike, the truth , i've got completely lost in the whole internet thing and what I was looking to do in the first place. I reckon it's all the mind game thing that is being played to me day after day. I'm 60 now and I will never give up. How do I get back to where I was when I started though?*******Ron.
Mike,
this is my favorite teaching by you! It never fails to help me put things into perspective. Thanks,
Pat
Hello michael,I read the blog.I enjoyed them.I enjoyed your mail the most.I am working on a project myself ,I woul truly like to put to market.I have been doing it off and on for about 1 and a half years but I never gave up.I am trying to figure how to make this item quicker and I am figuring it out slowly. So believe me I truly enjoy your pointers greatly. Thanks a Bunch.--Sue--*sp5751@aol.com You are a excellent writer too.Love ya ta-ta.
Mike,I just whent through a year 2007 that I can say it suck, had a neck surgery and then my wife left me after 32yrs.Now I just have to get started and look in my windshield and just do it!!!! So thanks Larry
Mike,
A friend of bought a business package that I liked and wanted to help him market for a percentage. He said he needed to get everything "in order" before he could get going. I got tired of waiting for him so I scraped together the money and bought the same business and got it going before getting it "just right" and have already made $1,000 in two weeks.
Thanks for your on-going words of encouragement.
Forrest
Thanks for your consistency Mike! I know in my mind that that the comments from you are general, but in my heart they feel personal. When you hold your 'WHY' close to yourself you know that nothing will stop you from suceeding. Many thanks
Hi Mike,
Thanks a lot.......
I totally agree with your points and will try to follow this as I am facing similar situations now.
Best regards,
Francis
HI Mike = Being a perfectionist from way back, your message today really hit home for me. The fear of not getting everything just right has immobilised me in the past and I want to disappear this fear right now! I have printed out your main quote and put it in a prominent position on my desk to read over and over ... and over ... till it finally sinks in! Thankyou from Terri in sunny Queensland, Australia
Thanks Mike
You hit the nail on the head again with those words, it is so true that you do have to get going in order for it to work and I do realize that. Thanks again.
Shirley
Mike! This has become my mantra. Not being right and not being perfect I had did my best seminar ever, have another to do this week-end, am getting my book reprinted (correcting some of the mistakes I missed the first time), added on a couple of new coaching clients and am laughing all the way to the bank. It's not right --- but it's working!
Mike, you are so right! Thank you for the kick in the pants. Something done is better than nothing attempted. I needed your reminder because there are a whole lotta people that will benefit (including me) from taking action. God bless you for your encouragement!
Jon
oh, I needed that message today. my perfectionism creates my proscrasination and it is a vicious cycle. You are absolutely right! From now on, I don’t have to get it right, I just have to get it going!
Great words Mike, Today is another great day in my life - gonna keep it going - It's great to know I don't have to get it right - just get it going. Keep me inspired
thanks, thanks, you always help me take it to another level
Who is to what is right for you. Only you can do that for yourself. What is "right" for me.. is not always "right for you. It is a Great thing that we do not have to get it Right!
Wayne Dyer uses this saying which helps me a lot.
"when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."
Hi
Thanks, that is a good one, i took too long to finish my documents because i am always thinking what the next person will say. Now i know , i just have to get it going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mike, Thanks for you inspiring words. Hope this will definitely gear some us (ME)up to do something before the end of the 2nd month of 2008.
The rubish written down as objective today is better than the quality plan left for tomorrow.
Thanks
Adesina
Terrific! Thanks. We must keep learning till grave do us part.
Hi Mike,
You are so right, just get going, get it started, everything else will fall into place. If it doesn't work try something else but keep going. Thank you for reminding me!
SueB
Thank you sooooooooo much! I'm getting it going.
Hello Mike
I think you are the best for sharing so much, especially this. It was just two weeks ago that I diagnosed that I always was thinking: "someone else had the answers, not me". Thanks for your inspiration.
I am sending this from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa. You are a great teacher. I really like your teachings. I wasted a lot of time and money trying to do things as per the set rules and regulations from the onset only to find me struggling with no success. After adopting your doctrine, I find my pharmaceutical business doing very fine. Keep it up.
Hi Mike
You are right on target AGAIN!!! You inspired me to start writing my weekly newsletter last year and now I am sending my coaching promotional materials to local schools. It's not 'quite right' but hey, let's get going! Keep up the great work.
You are so right. Its good to be reminded of these simple but true things of life.
Thank you
Serge, London
I agree to that mike and i ve experience the same in life.
Hi Mike,
With such factual truths of life, I feel there's accelerated speed in my business practise from today henceforth. Thanx and let us know whether there's any ways we can be able to give back to the good work you are doing. God Bless
When I was learning Latin in school, we learned that the Latin for tomorrow was CRAS.
We were then required to write a sentence in English that used a word derived from CRAS.
It was then I learned a sentence I have since then taken very seroiusly:"Procrastination is the thief of time".
How true. Thanks for reminding us!
Hi Mike,
You said it right .We just don't have to be.
you are perfectly correct.
Live and let live.Take it easy and let it be.
Just get it going! Yes, I just need to get it going...Just get it going, and get it going NOW! That is the cue!
