Complaining.
Complaining.
Complaining.
Earlier this morning, I was at the gym and I overheard a
conversation.
A negative conversation.
From gas prices to layoffs, this person was complaining about
everything.
Blah, blah, blah, this person DEFEATED HIMSELF.
The economy didn’t defeat him, his boss didn’t defeat him, he
DEFEATED HIMSELF.
That’s the power of our MENTAL ATTITUDE.
It can cause us to WIN, to TRIUMPH, or to defeat ourselves.
This is very important.
It’s so easy to look to the left or look to the right and
find somebody complaining about something.
It’s so easy to join in. Misery loves company.
Don’t do it.
Don’t.
YOU weren’t born to complain. YOU my friend were born to WIN.
We make our own economy.
Work on yourself. Become valuable to others.
Become ATTRACTIVE to others.
Become a problem solver to others.
Don’t pass on a complaining, victim driven attitude to your
kids.
Pass on the SPIRIT of a HERO. A winner.
Don’t take two steps today. Take one.
Move forward 1%. Yes, just 1%.
Start speaking TRIUMPH over your life.
Say:
I am VALUABLE.
People are drawn to me.
I am TALENTED.
I like people and people like me.
Amigo, start going the extra mile for others.
Watch what happens.
Get clear on what you want.
If you’re at a job right now and you want to leave it.
Find out how much money you need to make consistently each
month to leave that job and make that your goal.
Don’t make $1,000,000 your goal. Make it your goal for your
business to pay your monthly expenses plus.
Get started. Don’t join the ‘complaining party’
That party will always be there. You’re ABOVE IT.
The world is waiting to EXPERIENCE your gifts, talents, and
abilities.
Will you let them?
Love Ya! You’re The Best!
Your Coach,
Michael
P.S. Be the gift you want to get.

Mike,
“Be the gift you want to get.” Hmm, a nice little variation on “Be the change that you want to see.”
Nice post, as always.

Powerful, as ever!
Keep it on, Mike!!
Cheers from Japan!!!
Mike,
good post as usual.I just come from gym myself, where I pump iron 4-5 days a week, nothing unusual about it,exept, that I am 63 year “young” guy, while I really do sweet and work hard on my abs,I noticed same guys standing there all the time, doing nothing but wasting their time chating?I wonder why bother, why not stay home and watch Oprah,or read your blog, maybe they would learn something more then wasting time at a gym, doing nothing. Some of those guys avoid shaiking my hands, they can’t handle “old” man.I often wonder of what stuff those young guys are made of:)

Great advice as usual Mike.
I’ve been noticing lately that everyone is spending so much time nowadays talking about the economy, who lost their job etc and having 1 big pity shindig.
I simply just started no participating in it all. It’s just draining.
Enough with the complaining really, just keep it moving and be positive.
Claim all positive aspects of your life
Truly, whining and complaining accomplishes nothing. Action is the only way to go.
Thanks Mike for this.
OOOHH ! WHERE does one start? I’m going to get a “fix” on this darnit! More help is “required” however.
Great post Mike, thanks!
Good or Bad, it all starts in the mind.
Hi Mike! Thanks for this great post. FYI, I never complain in my life. I am a believer in a positive mental attitude. IN fact, if you will check out my website, you’ll find that my book Random Thoughts:The Power Of Thoughts is full of articles about PMA or Positive Mental Attitude. You’re doing a wonderful job, Mike! Keep up the good work!
Thanks Mike,
Always a pleasure to read your positive input…
and the more we confess it the more we believe it.
Hi Mike…
Absolutely! You become what you think about all day is the norm… positive or negative. A bad pill for those around you at the gym or wherever you are. You send a super message and preacher Joel Osteen also has a good message every morning. Check it out.
God bless…
Don
Thanks for all the positive I have lived in the positive for years and I find there is no other way for me. Keep up the good thoughts and deeds and you will be well blessed.
Thanks for all the positive.
I have lived in the positive for years now and find there is no other way for me. No Negative for me.
Keep up the good work Mike and the positive thoughts and deeds and you will be well blessed in this life.
“The world is waiting to EXPERIENCE your gifts, talents, and abilities.” Just what I was waiting to hear, and you’re the third one who has said it tonight. So, I know it’s true. Thanks for reaffirming me.
Mike, My Coach
Thanks for another word of inspiration, you always remind of never thinking negative in everything but being positive and keep moving forward.
Thanks for reaffirming this.

Good stuff Mike!
have you ever walked up to a group of people and listened to what or who they are talking about, and all of a sudden you feel like you have to add
to the conversation…
you were not even thinking about that same subject at all…were you?
just like short term pleasures we seem to have no control over at all…we feed upon the negative vibes given off by others…for that “high” or short burst of energy…like taking an energy drink…it feels
good for a moment…then poof it’s gone…and we go
down,down,down…emotionally and physically.
then sometimes, unknowingly, we go looking for the next high…lost in the quest of searching for something to pick us up again, and again, and again…
until we are so addicted to the search, the quest ,just looking…the actual finding of the high itself is not the answer anymore…just looking !!!
just like a good action/adventure movie now-a-days…once you find the treasure, what do you do?
you look for more, not satisfied with the finding it at all…and so it feeds the public too…seeking the treasure, i mean.
you are lost in the quest itself…so addicted to it you can not see through the false-hood of the whole thing…
you do not really need it at all, nope…it is now something you just want…an addiction!
back to the feeling of having to add to a conversation, when you walk up to others…this also is an addiction…it is almost uncontrollable, is it not?
do you have the strength to walk by them…avoid the conversation completely?
can you walk up there and listen for a minute and find out what they are talking about, then politely walk away?
will they even notice you?
probably not, unless you add your energy to the game, to build up the intensity of the play, so to speak…they will then notice as you walk away from them, as you pull your energy away from them.
and most likely you will be the next topic of discussion…
where is all this going you ask?
self-discipline…taking and keeping control of your actions, your thinking, your words…controlling what you see in this world, what you look for in others, controlling your actions and reactions to what you
see and hear.
but alas, most of us do not want to control our lives, we are so happy living day to day as others want us to…so we keep them happy, cause we do not want to hurt others feeling…pooh…! we are just hurting our
own feelings the most, cause we are trying too hard to please others first…
this has been my life long mistake…putting others first…i got so lost taking care of others first…
i put everything else in my life way down
on the list…
so busy giving to others pleasure first…to their short-term wants…not their real needs…to give my best for their addictions…so they could stay happy…but are they really happy?
what are my actions really doing to them? i am just catering to someone else’s whims…not my own.
so we all end up losing…cause nobody is taking care of the long-term needs anymore for society to continue to flourish…so mankind will continue to have dominion over this world…
i feel it will soon end in catastrophe…
the world as we know it and have taken for granted seems to be changing
at an alarming rate…
what do you believe…?
Hi, if you read this far-thanks, Brad.
Thanks MIke for your thoughts.I have been doing this very consciously for sometime and I have noticed a very positive side-effect of this- a very high level of energy. When I used to entertain others who complained I found them draining my energy and leave me feeling low. Its just not worth it.I avoid such situations as much as possible now.
Ratna.
GOOD MORNING MIKE,A great way to be up in a down world or economy, is to have an ATTITUDE OF GRADITUTE.Just as you say, grow it by 1% per day.If you focus on what you do not have, you will never have enough.Rather if you dwell on what you can give, you will have more than enough.Have a great day, a better tomorrow, and a wonderful week—-Joel Court
Thanks Mike. I used to be that person who complains and realized that it was not helping me. I turned my focus on what I can do to get out of situations I am in and them I realize it was healthier than complaining. I complain no more but take action.
Thanks for the reminder, Michael. Knowing that we can choose what we say to and think about ourselves and others has a great impact on our success. When we hear that ‘opposites attract’ we forget (or don’t realize) that negative attitudes attract negative attitudes and positive attitudes attract positive attitudes. “Pass on the spirit of a hero” – great advice!
Thank you again Mike. I did not get to this until today and it would seem that is the way the universe wanted it.
Hi Mike,
I refuse to give into GLOOM & DOOM….these are challenging times….I love your quote, you don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going!
YOU AREN’T WHAT YOU THINK YOU ARE, YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK! There’s no way around it, the way we feel is the way we attract! No negative nellies in my life….
MY CHALLENGE….COME ON AND JOIN ME….
Actually I’ve been a power stair climber for over 25 years. I love the challenge.

They came to challenge themselves to fulfill a commitment to pay homage to those who paid a tagic price to “smoke their last cigarette.” My climb in memory of John, my brother, Marci, my sister, Barb, dear friend.
They did love their cigarettes, and left us way to soon.
I recovered from finding out “I WAS THE OLDEST CLIMBER’ in Tower 1, however, I knew I had to find out if I was the slowest, so I bit the bullet…
