Mammoth companies collapsing.
Job cuts soaring.
Job security. Nostalgia.
This isn't a time for gimmicks.
Guru #31 isn't saving anyone.
This is the end of an era and the start of a new one.
Either you take CONTROL of your financial future or you'll experience discomfort.
This isn't 1995 anymore.
'Lottery ticket' business opportunities or the latest guru gimmick no longer works.
People need a REAL BUSINESS if they want to succeed in the coming years.
A business with heart, a business with soul, a business that has value and service as its underpinning.
Its foundation stands on VALUE and SERVICE.
Anything else will disintegrate and be laughed at in due time.
We've went through the Industrial Age, we all lived through the Information Age and now I believe we've entered the Age of PASSION, what I call the PASSION ECONOMY.
In business today or really in business in general, if you don't find something you enjoy, something you like to do/share/teach/build, you'll NEVER persevere through the challenging times.
Never. No chance.
You'll quit and follow the next Guru, Guru #72.3.
Needed:
A business built around a passion.
A business built around a market that has a sincere desire to solve a problem.
A business built around a passion, a good market, and market that has money to solve their problem.
Forget about YOURSELF.
Get excited about solving a problem for somebody else.
Service precedes money.
Service precedes success.
Passion is the light that ignites it all.
In The Passion Economy, the only way to have enduring success is to CARE about people and want to sincerely help them.
Each day, we live in a more and more of a transparent world,
VALUE will be raised and honored, foolishness will be pushed out of the room. Fast.
Stop building other companies and start building your OWN BRAND.
YOU are an asset. You are important. You have something to share.
Forget about making a million dollars tomorrow and instead focus on getting your 1st client, your next newsletter subscriber, uploading a new video.
Celebrate your small victories. Celebrate them. Get excited about them.
Get excited again about life. Get enthusiastic again about your talents, gifts, and core skills.
Passion!
Passion is about people.
Passion is about profits.
Passion is about personal growth.
Passion is about understanding that you don't have to get it right, you just have to get it going.
Don't focus on results for at least the first 6 months of your business.
Focus instead on activity.
Activity. Activity. Activity.
Get going.
The fastest way to move forward is by giving yourself away.
The days of being scattered are over.
The Passion Economy demands that you gift yourself the GIFT OF FOCUS.
It demands it.
A scattered mind precedes procrastination, frustration, and then quitting.
Amigo, NOW is your time.
You were born for a reason. It's time for you to unleash your life assignment on a target market that is desperate to solve a problem.
Are you ready?
Don't just nod.
I'm serious.
Are you REALLY ready to move forward 1% each day? That's it.
Each day move forward 1% and in a year you won't even recognize yourself.
Your best self will have entered the stage.
The stage of success, of service, sharing the best you.
Get going. Now.
Love Ya! You're The Best!
Your Coach,
Mike

Hey Mike,
Great job! Love the emails and the energy that always jumps off the screen! I'd love to share your energy and enthusiam but I dont have a clue what I'm passionate about...I go to a job every day that, even though I don't hate it per say, I can't say I enjoy it very much. I do the same thing day in and day out pretty much. I was in a meeting today and we were pretty much told a whole bunch of changes are on the way and that my workload is going to pretty much double. Great right? A change in what I do and a challenge...perfect! In reality, I left the meeting feeling worried and a little depressed...I know this is not where I'm supposed to be but I feel powerless to change because I don't have a clue what I want to do...sorry, not very inspirational but this is my current state of mind. Keep up the fight Mike and thanks for your time...
If I ever needed a message, I needed this one today! Thank you for reminding me to focus on the person and not the profit!
Thanks!
Marsha

Good one again, Mike.
My passions are sewing, knitting, and recycling... using other people's leftover fabrics and yarns to create long hooded cloaks to wear to Renaissance Faires and SCA Events, using my leftovers to make teddy bears, and creating multi-colored sweaters to keep people warm when they turn the heat down in the wintertime... I love the creation, but do NOT enjoy the selling process... so for a percentage of the end price, I'm supplying my creations to friends who are doing the marketing, online and in 3-D. No profits, yet, but hopefully they will come in time!
Hi Mike,

Its now more than ever, that we need to focus on our core passions and the stuff that makes the real difference. Its probably going to take some soul searching (pretty inevitable actually), but the payoff in our business and personal lives will be tremendous!Keep doing what you do Mike! Oh YES - I am passionate about helping - passionate about encouraging others to find an follow their inner joy: to reconnect with their own inner power.
Yes Mike, the days of power grabbing and selfishness are being swept away and I welcome a world in which we truly share and profit follows because we are being TRUE to ourselves."Only the truth will set you free" - remember the words of a great Master?
My "get going' project resulted in 200,000 downloads of my relaxation and inner journey podcasts - a World's Number One. Unbelievable? No,it happened all on its own because I just had to surrender to who I truly am.
Thank you Mike, I love your pragmatic passionate approach. More please!
Blessings

Mike: I spent over $80,000 the past 3 years on those Guru's just trying to figure out how to start and grow a coaching business. I got nowhere. Then I found you, Mike, and evreything changed - Thank You. My passion is to help others reinvent themselves like I did. And, more importantly as you change and become clear future focused you will teach others what you learn and that will change the world, one person at a time. That is my mission; let's teach the world together to find their passion.

Mike, this is one of my favorite, after 30+ years searching for my own passion I have finally found it,biggest help for me was an old self help classic titled: "A Touch of Greatness" by Frank Tibolt.
I am now helping others to discover their own hidden passion.Just meet a former policeman who after 20 years on the force [never really enjoyed his job]decide to change his life, and discover his real passion, he is now a writer, working with a passion on his first book. When your soul is on a "fire"you will know you are living...I live near Toronto,Ontario, would like to hear from people who are stil looking, stil searching for their own passion in life.

Hey Mike,
As always, we can sooooo feel your Passion, Passion, Passion! I totally agree that we must build our businesses (and life) around our passions. What am I passionate about? Well, after reading your powerful interview with Jim Rohn in your best seller 'Conversations with Millionaires', I've dedicated my life to studying successful entrepreneurs so that I can 'Be-Do-Have'. Out of this passion I have created a website to give other entrepreneurs access to this information and help them navigate their way through what is often a lonely, bumpy road. You can check it out at http://www.itsanentrepreneursworld.com In that time I've grown so much and I just love receiving emails from people telling me how the site content has inspired and motivated them to go after their dreams and 'keep it moving'. I really appreciate your regular 'kicks up the b*tt' -- you really do keep me on point
You hit the mark, Mike.
Where there's passion, there's action.
Moving ahead one percent is way more than none percent.
Motivating post - thanks!
