Millions of people spend their day in the absence of love.
I did for years as well. Years.
“Mike, love?”
Yes amigo, love.
Not that kind of love. A different kind.
We can’t express our best when we spend our time in an
environment that we don’t adore.
A painter’s canvas. An athlete’s field. A writer’s tablet.
They’re in love.
Tot many people are running around pursuing Guru #5 and his
gimmick, then Guru #27 and his gimmick, and then Guru #51 and
on and on and on.
Instead, they should be pursuing what they LOVE.
What you LOVE, what is the master key to your service and
success is so CLOSE to you that you most likely don’t even
see it.
Let me bring the great Napoleon Hill into this conversation:

What do you ENJOY doing?
What problems are you qualified to solve?
What people’s pain do you feel?
What angers you?

Put your attention into placing yourself in an area you’re
CELEBRATED and where you can serve others.
The more OBSESSED you are about helping a target market with
a problem, the more you’re applauded and the bigger your bank
account.
People will literally thank their creator they found you.
This is the LOVE FORMULA of the ages.
You LOVE them. They LOVE you back. They invest in you. They
improve their situation. You both profit.
You can’t do something you LOVE and think short term.
The expression of turning what you enjoy into a successful
business takes time.
Most people expect to plant and harvest, they forget to
cultivate. How sad.
Start small. Start part time.
This really frustrates me.
People’s SELF DOUBT is their greatest barrier to success.
Stop it.
Give yourself some credit.
Heck, you’re reading this right now. That says SOMETHING
about you.
You’re a WINNER, -amn it.
Stop settling.
Stop being great friends with inferiority.
Start believing you deserve a life filled with excellence.
Start ‘bettering your best’.
Stop being so self absorbed.
Start forgetting yourself into others.
The money will come. If you stay FOCUSED.
Focus is the key.

For once in your life, once, give yourself the GIFT OF FOCUS.
Love yourself enough to stay focused for 1 year.
When our self respect is low, we make ourselves VERY
susceptible to the ‘guru’.
Raise your SELF RESPECT and be your own guru.
Be the LEADER you were born to be.
Love yourself.
Respect yourself.
Be kind to others.
Start.

I have learned in my many years in business working with people that if you want to build a long lasting business you have to treat people the way you would want to be treated. Many of my clients have been with me for years because we have a relationship and I don’t just treat them like a customer.

Great posting today! I have read many books that say the same thing and it is so true. If you love what you do, it is not work. I am in a home-based business that is so much fun to do that I go to bed thinking about it and get up thinking about it. And one of the things that I really love about it is that it is a business that you can use to show love and appreciation to the people in your life. What more could you ask for than to have a business that you can make money doing and this business involves showing people you care! Everyone wants to be loved, remembered and thanked so I really love what I do.

Nice article. All too often people sacrifice themselves to others in a vain attempt to get approval and validation from those other people.
They never realize that the greatest validation of all comes from creating the greater good for mankind that God intends for them to create – i.e. the things they love.
So, I absolutely encourage people to let go of trying to get approval and validation from others and immediately begin working towards creating greater good and giving more goodwill towards others.
The subsequent validation, the subsequent joy you’ll feel from accomplishing, achieving, and blessing people will far transcend anything you could ever possibly feel from trying to get others to give you external validation and approval.

Well put as always. I can easily relate to several of the principles you set forth. You say we plant but forget to cultivate. The bible tells us as long as the world remains seed-time-and harvest will remain! It’s the time part, the cultivating – we forget – how right you are! And your “secret” is safe with me! If we just applied Ephesians 6:8 – whatever good we do for someone else, God will cause to happen for us as well. What an awesome reminder – thanks.

So, so true!
I launched an online music radio station a year ago driven by the desire to expose at least a small part of the huge selection of great music that for the most part doesn’t get airplay (we do play some more well known tracks as well).
It was very much a labour (that’s how we spell “labor” in Canada) of love. I knew that if I focused on what I loved, the money would follow.
We now have a growing audience of listeners around the world which means I can now start approaching larger advertisers.
The “thank you’s” and positive encouragement I have received from both listeners and artists has helped me get through all the challenges, both technological and regulatory, I’ve had to deal with this past year.

Everybody loves to be in a position they love to be…but the fact is it is not true for majority.
And reasons are many and the 1st one to my mind is that we live life as expected out of us rather than as we want to. we have conditioned our love. If this is that way we will love more…..it is their loss for not having my love and attention….they need to be this way for getting my love….
Mike we live in the world were our love, passion surrenders to living pressure, society pressure rather all sort of pressure.
Give us more…Give us insight to attain the level to give and get love with this limitation.

I stopped trying to please ‘others’ and started to do what I love a year ago. In six months my heartfelt offerings had become the World’s Number I Health download. OK, it’s been a tough learning curve – becoming a Voice Artist after being a Yoga Teacher: learning to be my own engineer . .. .there have been tears – but how GLAD I am that I am now expressing my love which is to help, to comfort and to open up a space – JUST as Mike says – where we find the inner leader. Not the external Guru – but our own authentic self who knows just exactly who we are and empowers us, with love,to express it.
I haven’t become a wealthy woman – in terms of money – yet – but what price could be put on hearing the news that my home made recording had gone around the world and that over 100,000 people had actually listened and benefited from these humble ‘journeys’.
Mike, I’m with you. I’ve always fought shy of the Guru, believing that somehow I am the magical person who can make it happen. I’m not a youngster – I am 52, had a difficult background to trnscend – and now, fairly recently divorced- quite financially challenged – but I am being me. I add in these facts to illustrate that I am ordinary in terms of many people’s experience and, like all us ‘ordinary’ guys, I have something unique to offer.
