I've talked about it so many times. Tons.
"Mike, what are you talking about?'
Amigo, stay with me, I'll get to the point in a minute. A
moment.
Wrapped up in myself.
"It's all about me."
Me. Me. Me.
I didn't even realize it. Not at all. That's why it can hurt
our chances of success so much. I was like that for years.
Let me say something before I say something else.
One of the BIGGEST keys to success is having a WINNING,
ATTRACTIVE personality.
It is. No one can differ with that point.
Here's how to assure yourself of NOT having a winning,
attractive personality.
Here's how to assure yourself that you'll NEVER be popular or
be a leader.
***Be consumed with yourself.
Self centered.
Little to no concern about the welfare of others.
It's all about "Me. Me. Me."
98.3% of the people reading this now say, "I'm so unselfish,
this has nothing to do with me."
Are you sure?
Are you really sure?
You can't have an attractive, winning personality unless
you’re unselfish.
Selfish personalities are cold, inward, and all about 'my
needs'.
Look at a MAGNETIC, ATTRACTIVE person and see if they’re
selfish or unselfish.
Read what one of my favorite authors Orison Swett Marden said
in the early 1900's, the book is called 'Self Investment'.
"As long as a person remains cold, self centered, and self
contemplative, they will have no magnetism for others. They
will be shunned and disliked. No one will voluntarily seek
them. It is just a question of the kind of magnet he makes of
himself. The moment they show regard for and interest in
others, they will take on magnetic qualities, and attract,
where before they repelled..
They will draw others to them just in proportion to his
interest in them. As soon as they put themselves in another's
place, takes a genuine interest in there welfare, and does
not try to shift the conversation to himself and his own
affairs, just so soon and no sooner will others take an
interest in them.
There is only one way to win love, and that is to love. Love
will break the bonds of selfishness and self consciousness.
Stop thinking of self, and take an interest in others,
develop and admiration and love for them, a real desire to
help them, and you will not fail to be loved and to be
popular.
---
Is Orison amazing or what? Beautifully said.
One of the biggest keys to winning in life is TRANSFORMING
your personality.
It's about eradicating your weaknesses and about becoming the
strong, powerful person you were born to be.
Are you ready?
Yes or Yes?
Good.
My suggestion would be to read what Orison wrote above again.
There's genius in what he wrote that can't be 'seen' the
first time you read it.
I care about your success. I succeed when you succeed.
That's been my mission ever since I was 19 years old (16
years ago).
I believe in you.
Love Ya! You're The Best!
Your Coach,
Mike
P.S. I distaste the current level that I'm at. I know I can
be more, have more, help more. Generate distaste, anger for
where you're at and start to see the BIGGER, BETTER you then
you can become.
The fastest way to grow is to help others grow. Forward this
post to your friends, facebook, and twitter.
Be a reward, a problem solver for others and your life will
change. And fast.

Mike,
I agree with you, I can always do more and do it better! My goal is to be the kind of person that I would want to be around and the kind of friend I would like to have. I am trying to show more love and appreciation to the people in my life and that is one of the greatest things about my home-based business is that I can use it to do just that. I try to send at least one card a day to someone to show them that I appreciate them, that I took the time to let them know that I care. I also show other people how to do the same and love the fact that by showing you care about other people and helping other people become successful, I am also changing my life!

Hey Mike,
Great post my man...
I really like what you said about "the fastest way to grow is to help others grow"...
It is all about self evaluation and never ending change...
Good stuff!

Hi Mike,
Great post.
The best way to achieve this is be a person who provides great value to others.
The person who focuses on providing profitable value to others always seems to be very popular.
All success starts with desire. What do you want?
After that it's all about what value you bring to others. The more people you provide value to, the more you profit from your efforts.
Keep up the great work!

Hi Mike,
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and spent time with your family and loved ones.
I couldn't agree more with what you are saying.
The past few months I've been doing what you are saying and just helping and caring about other people and not worrying at all about me and my business is growing faster than ever!
IT WORKS!
Thanks for all the great advice you give and have a great day Mike!

Another great post Mike!
It's so true that the more we give, the more we receive in return.
The giving has to be of an unselfish nature and with the right motives.
The more we give unselfishly, the more will come back to us.
That is so true! We are so concerned about us! We are not here for ourselves only! We are here to help others.
We bloom when we help. It is good for us mentally and physically. Yes, Seratonin levels increase when we help others. Say a beggar is there; you have 2 options: to give or not to give. If you give, give him with a smile or a good word (I say"good Luck to you") and you will see some surprising reactions! Wow! their face will shine, a smile will appear, they're going to say "thank you" again. Seratonin levels increase our immune system. We heal faster, we become sick less often, etc.
Thanks for the reminder!
you rock!
A CHALLENGE TO MIKE LITMAN!!!
Mike, I posted this at my site a couple days ago
http://www.biglife.ws/profiles/blogs/does-a-new-earth-spirituality
topic is "is self promotion egotistical"
so is it?
does that matter?
for the millions who love Eckhart Tolle's "a new earth"... how are they supposed to relate to this?
I really don't know the answer, and yet I need to help hundreds of coaches learn to promote themselves and most of them are into this 'lose your ego' philosophy.
thanks Mike & everyone for sharing your thoughts!
V.
Hi Mike,
I've been practicing this principle for a while now; sometimes I regress, become aware and adjust my path. When I'm in the flow of truly being interested in others, I do attract people that are aligned with my business and services.
Thanks for the reminder! Make it a great week!
Blessings.....R.
Mike:
Thank you for the great post. You are so right! As I read the posts I felt the positive energy and I felt the "love" coming from all of the posts.
When Orison said "Love will break the bonds of selfishness and self consciousness"; I immediately thought of your teachings, Mike, in regards to sharing your talents. I feel a high obligation to share what I know, what I have learned with everyone I meet. Doing this in such a way to show others how they can reinvent their lives as I did. I know it will change their lives for the better. As coaches, we talk far less than we listen; when you listen you are showing how much you "love" the other person. That is the greatest gift we can give; our time and our listening skill.
Thanks to everyone for the postive energy today.

Yes ladies and gentlemen,
You know it seems that when one has developed a life time of bad habits. It takes a concentrated effort to reverse current behavior towards a goal.
Thanks Mike. Great blog as always. It feels great to help others, in fact I think that's why we were put on this earth. And it's so true that the more we help others, the more we help ourselves.

Right on Mike!
WE are on this planet to serve.
But ...
It's been my experience that many people have forgotten to take care of themselves.
How can we serve anybody with 100% grace and authenticity if we do not embrace our burgeoning need for own extreme self care.
Thanks for all you do. You ROCK!
Shann
Mike, great post!
You rock, yes or yes?
Mike,
First time I read your blog, and you know what there was a reason for it. What attracted me to it this time I do not know.
Could not agree more with Orison's observations a century ago. Mankind has not really changed much or has it in these fast paced times? Maybe for the worse?
This reminds me of Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol. Must we be like Mr. Scrooge and be awakened by the spirits to change our ways or can we learn to truly love others and save our selves and do more for others and in turn do more for ourselves because others will love us back and not pity or despise us.
Thank you very much Mike you truly inspired thought for me.
Thank you Mike, for being who you are. I'm constantly blessed through you. I grow some everytime I read one of your posts.
Asif
Blessings to you Mike,
I believe it all it is possible I can be big and be even bigger and better, all i need is to be like the magnetor and a winning attractive personality - a-n-d u-p I go!
like that post sir.
Hi Mike,
Thanks again for another wise boost. Look at how many you touch. What a great example you are.
Marie
Hi Mike,
Thanks for the boost. You are a great example.
Marie
You're the man Mike!
It's ironic as I'm just writing a new product for my site (AffirmationStation.com) and about 2 minutes before reading your post was just writing these affirmations:
*My greatest successes come as I am enabled to assist others
*I have strength and vitality in my generous thoughts
*I give freely of myself
*My giving is an essential part of my life
*I make a money magnet of myself by making money for others
*I give of myself in perfect proportion
This isn't a plug for the product, but I love the synchronicity of life, and truly believe in the rendering of useful service to others to aid in attaining ones desires...
There has to be a balance between service and 'self' service as well...

Great post. I definitely agree that you need a personality for people to enjoy reading what you write, and to get hooked enough to want to keep on coming back.
The quick sale is ok, but to develop and nurture friends and subscribers is going to gain you the most recognition, referrals and earn you the most income in the long run.
Hello Coach Mike,
Your article is amazing and insightful keep up the great work.
Thanks! Nice post.
Love the advice. Thank you.
