(deep breath)
Let’s go.
This is a very powerful idea. At least I think so.
The first time I heard this point being made, I was like “Wow”,
very interesting.
“Mike, tell me right now what it is.”
Amigo, relax. Hold on.
We’ll get there.
First.
Understand that in my opinion the fastest way to fail is to live
SELFISHLY.
Selfish entrepreneurs have SMALL HOUSES and SMALL INCOMES.
Value that you have, that you don’t share, really doesn’t exist.
(read this again)
Onward.
Real success is about service. It is.
I didn’t make this up. For thousands of years, smart people have
been trying to tell us this. Few listen though.
Let’s get to the powerful point that I mentioned above.
Question.
How much SPACE do you take up in the world?
“Mike, what?”
I’ll ask it again.
How much SPACE do you take up in the world?
Let me quote the great Andrew Carnegie, Napoleon’s Hill’s
sponsor.
“Whether a person occupies the position of employer or employee,
the space he occupies in the world is measured precisely by the
quality and the quantity of the service he renders, plus the
mental attitude in which he relates himself to other people.”
Powerful.
And there’s more.
This is what Napoleon Hill added on this same topic.
“And let it be also remembered that the space one occupies in
the hearts of his fellowman is determined precisely by the
service he renders through some form of sharing his blessings.”
He also says, “He who has not learned the blessed art of sharing
has not learned the true path of happiness, for happiness comes
only by sharing.”
2 questions.
How much space do you take up in the world today?
How much space do you desire to take up 12 months from today?
Stop rushing. Stop expecting riches by Friday. Change your mind.
Yes, change your mind. Serve. Share. Profit. (Repeat.)
Think about giving, getting will follow.
Oprah, Gates, Spielberg, Tiger. Look at the space they occupy.
YOUR best days are ahead of you. They certainly are.
Love Ya! You’re The Best!
Your Coach,
Michael

I get what Napoleon Hill is saying…
but…
“Value that you have, that you don’t share, really doesn’t exist.”
That really resonates.
Powerful stuff Mike…
Keep it coming

Thanks Mike!
This came at a very good time for me. I’ve always felt I’ve done well in business, life, sales etc by giving, out servicing others and being honest, but recently have lost my faith a little bit. I started a small online business and have given alot of samples away, products, shipping, time etc and worry I am being “dumb” about all of it. I’ve been questionin if hoping it will build repoire and relationships and eventually translate to sales and a good reputation is naive. I’ve gotten buggy and impatient wanting more results sooner but your message today reminded me once again that treating others how I’d like to be treated is always the best way to go!
Thank you so much,
Kelly

Great news to live by and to share with others.
I got it! I’ve been told that if we have something great, we have a moral obligation to share it with others. I thought I really understood what that meant….but today I realy “got it”. “Value that you have, that you don’t share, really doesn’t exist” Wow! Thanks again for helping me.
Linda
Thanks so much.
A wonderful book relating to this is”The Go Giver” by Bob Burg.

Thanks Mike
it is a thrill to share, always love to and remember learning that lesson of more joy in giving while living in a damp flat with a baby when I was aged 16 while my friend s dropped by and I fed them also. of course they too looked out for me, never really changed and now travel the globe have a great life and love what I learned back then, that people are way more important than possessions, keep the spirit Kate
Giving is the law of reciprocity, it gets the energy moving. as they say, rome was not built in a day. If you want to be more than a flash in the pan success, you have to put one brick in at a time.
I really appreciate your space in the world and your sharing, Mike.
May we all be blessings,

Mike, I love your tidbits of inspiration. Timely, to the point and personal.
This reminded me of an insult kids used to say on the play ground.
“You’re a waste of space”.
If our lives have no value to others we really have no presence on the planet. We use up resources but leave no positive impact, service or legacy. We can waste alot of space! Here’s to all of us giving good return for the space we already occupy.

Hey Mike,
Great points. It’s amazing that we think we can turn everything around that quickly after years of not making the right choices.
We can certainly as Jim Rohn says, “change the set of our sail.” But it still takes time to reach that destination.
And service is definitely the key. The bigger service we provide to the greatest amount of people will certainly make things happen a little quicker.
Keep up the great work my friend.

I think, from a certain perspective, that I have something to give or share with everyone, however, it is a matter of letting them know about this that I have to share with them that is the challenge at this moment in time –
thank you!
Walter
Mike,
What you shared today was timely as well as being encouraging.
What a powerful quote.
Service is the key to long-term success and being able
to make a real difference in the lives of many which is what you are doing as you share and inspire.
Yes Mike my best days are still ahead of me.
Have a good evening.

Mike, I loved your inspirational post! Reminds me of this excerpt out of Wallace D. Wattles’ 1910 Classic titled, “The Science of Getting Rich”.
“You can advance yourself only when you are being larger than the space you occupy. If you are not being larger than the space you hold you are leaving your work undone.”
“The world is only advanced by those (you) who are willing to more than fill their present spaces.”
“Those that do not quite fill their present spaces are dead weight upon society. They must be carried along by others at a great expense. Thus, the forward advancement of the world is greatly slowed by those who do not fill the spaces that they are holding.”
“You can never know the results of even the most trivial act. You do not understand the workings of all forces that have been set in motion on your behalf. Much may be depending on your doing of some simple act, and it may be the very thing which is to open the door of opportunity to very great possibilities. You can never know all the combinations which supreme intelligence is making for you in the world of things and human affairs. Your neglect of failure to act upon some small thing may cause a long delay in getting what you want.”
A long comment on this subject, but maybe it will help inspire someone who has visions of advancement, but is doubting themselves.

HI
Life is Good! What a blessing.
Mike, thank you. Some day I would like to spend some time with you.
What I came up with The more I can give the more I get back.
My business is “How to Relieve Stress, Pain and Learning Blocks Naturally without DRUGS.
I volunteer for my Loving Life corporation. We set up our non-profit corporation so that even though my husband and I do all the work I am not able to get paid.
If the corporation does make money I donate to another non-profit. I am a giver. I have helped many people over the years. My pay is seeing people love a more, less stressful life.
It starts by learning to love myself.

I was feeling a little down today–it was on this day that my father died in 1980. I loved him for the space he filled in my life and in all those around him who he touched. He had high integrity and commanded great respect. Today I filled my day with writing a script for a Sunday School hand puppet show of Noah’s Ark. But feeling connected with him today, I submitted it to the teacher with a good feeling. After reading this blog, I realize that I filled my space well.
The quote, “Value that you have, that you don’t share, really doesn’t exist.” really hit home with me. Thanks for that tidbit–and all the other short-but-to-the-point tidbits–that make a difference in my life! I really appreciate your frequent inspirational posts. Keep ‘em coming!
High Fives, Coach!
guilty as charged
Mike, Nice inspiration above again thanks for that it is always a pleasure to read what you have for us.
If any one reads this try buing “Positive mental attitude” by w clements stone and Nalpolian Hill. Its one of the greatest books ever written on self improvement.
Love to all gods children, Dimitri.
Thanks Mike! This is exactly why I love the home based business I am involved in. I have my Master’s Degree in Social Work and I got that because I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, but I was not getting paid enough to make a difference in mine. Now I coach people and train them how to be successful in a home based business, so I am getting the best of both worlds, helping people and helping myself and my family!

Mike, great blog! I really gave me something to talk about with my teams. Service leadership is one of the key components of Univera and you seem to really nail it on the head in your last couple of blogs, keep it up!
Mike, you’re such an inspiration. You always have what is needed for any given day, and for this I thank you. I alway anticipate a powerful word or thought from you, and realize that one day soon I will be sharing inspiration to those in need. I place todays quote with the infamous “You don’t have to get it right, you have to get it going!”
Love you much Mike!

Attitude is everything… but as in always, service to others is the key. Serve, share, profit… We need to give of ourselves before we can even think of receiving anything.
Thanks much and greetings from the Philippines

Hi Mike…
I love this post! Both quotes are incredibly powerful… the world would benefit if more people adopted these sentiments into their daily life and belief system.

Mike, Thanks always for your timely wisdom keys. The application of these truths brings with them tremendous joy, satisfaction, and reward. It does however require a change in attitude and disposition. Mike, you have helped us so much, in embrasing a totally new mindset which has proven its worth time and time again.

Thanks for the blog Mike! We must all focus on Humility. “One must look within himself to find his blessings (‘DREAMS’).” “You must look WITHIN, or else you’ll be WITHOUT!” “Your INCOME has nothing to do with your OUTCOME!”

Mike,
Thank you for sharing.
You have really made me think about
what I might call,
‘my greatest challenge.’
I have always found it easy to Plan & Organize,
but have not been good at ACTION.
Your following statement really hit home.
‘Value that you have, that you don’t share, really doesn’t exist.’
Thank you.
I really appreciate all you have done for me.
Bill
Value that you have that you do not share. That value then does not exist. What a right on the target concept!
This has opened up a process of thought for me to dig away on. Thanx to you Mike, again, and again… PatG
