On December 5th the GREAT Jim Rohn passed away.
Jim was Tony Robbin’s 1st mentor and one of the
greatest success philosophers of the last 100 years.
In 2001, I was 28 years old and had this tiny little radio
show (WGBB 1240am) in Long Island, New York.
I asked Jim Rohn’s office if he would appear on my radio
show and he said yes. What an honor that was then and to this day.
That interview also became chapter 1 in my book ‘Conversations with
Millionaires’.
Below is the audio link to that 60 minute interview. You can
listen online or I included a mp3 link.

I just saw your email Mike! I am soooo sorry to hear of the passing of the great Jim Rohn. He definitely 'gave' us himself. He emptied his soul of all the wisdom and gems he could share with us all. He was a great pioneer and an inspiration to me. He will definitely be missed.
I first met Jim back in 1995, and remained friends with him since. His wisdom he learned from his mentor J. Earl Shoaff decades ago on building a successful business. One comment always reminds me of those two: “Set a goal of becoming a Millionaire – not for the money, but because of the person you have to become to earn a million dollars.” How true indeed.
Jim Rohn was a large contributor to my Accelerator for Success system – so that gives me more fuel to get out there and share his Wisdom with Entrepreneurs.
Mike's interview offers many gems of wisdom, and is a wonderful gift. Thank you Mike for sharing it.
See you soon…
What a great person to have given so much to each of us that he touched
with his training and seminars. I took a seminar when I was almost dead broke.
It was a couple of hundred dollars for the course and at the time I thought I must
be out of my mind. It was of course the best investment I could have possibly made
as is usually the case with great mentors teaching you how to take control and
responsibility for your life. A great man. Thank you Jim.
So sad to hear but, I guess Jim has played his part well. Its for us now to step up and do likewise as he did. May his soul rest in peace.
Thanks Mike for posting this great interview with Jim Rohn! I will treasure this audio. He really tells it like it is! He will be missed.
Jim you surly will me missed. Thanks for all you gave us while you were here. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
It was with great sadness and also with a sense of hapiness that I received this news. Sadness for friends and family of Jim and hapiness as one he changed for the better. His work will continue to be of great benefit to all those who take hold of his common sense approach that appears not to be as common as many think.

The world became a sadder day on December 5 2009, I am a student of Mr. Rohn, never met him but he influenced my life to achieve many successes. The question is Whom am I, where did I come from and what is my destination. Jim made a difference in this world, his purpose was fullfilled.
To me he is a Legend and will go down in the pages of history a aman amongst men.
See you soon in a rebirth Jim for this legacy will have to be continued by you.
Thank you, Mike for paying tribute to late Mr. Jim Rohn. He was indeesd a legend and all the “self-development oriented” people will surely miss him. The only saving grace is all the books, tapes, CDs and DVDs that he left behind. We can certainly review his work over & over and feel his presence. It was a blessing to know him and such a big loss to lose him.
May God's peace be upon him for all the lives that he changed during his fruitful and productive life. Once we go, there is nothing left other than what people say about us and EVERYONE is complementary about Jim Rohn…….., EVERYONE that knew him!
Jim played a big roll in my early years as a salesperson – motivation. He gave me the rules of life, I view very much all his videos. Anytime you feel down, listen to Jim Rhon. We will miss him.
What can I say more “Jim you are Awesome”

WoW!. Jim Rohn is in the next dimension. WoW.! I have seen many of Jim's talks on Video, but his greatest contribution is his mentoring of Tony Robbins. Because Tony Robbins, has gone on to become one of the greatest communicators in the World. Tony Robbins has influenced the lives of Millions of people, me included, and I never would have become aware of Tony and his work, if Tony had not become aware of Jim Rohn. So it is quite fair to say, that Jim Rohn has influenced the lives of Millions of people, all around the world. The really sad part is that the major news networks, will probably not even mention it in their nightly news. Why? Because Good News, about Fulfilling Your Potential, is not “Contoversial”, not worthy of being on the National News, and yet Jim Rohn's work influenced Millions of People in a positive way. Positive Energy is needed in America, more now than ever. Jim Rohn's work will continue on through Tony Robbins, and all the people influenced by Jim Rohn's meaningful messages. J.L.
Thanks for the opportunity, Mike. I met Jim with friends in Dallas and again in Austin. He has always left a funtastic impression on me and those I was with. Not only will he be dearly missed, but the drive and attitude he possessed will linger eternally.

Mike,
I am not surprised that you're offering this amazing download for free. A lot of people don't realize that you and Jim shared the birthday of September 17th. Thanks for everything you have done, are doing and will do to bring out people's greatness.
What I remember most about Jim is how humble he was. He was loved and adored by millions and he never let it go to his head. I remember a mutual friend picked us up at the Oakland airport one time. I offered to load his luggage. He smiled and said “That's okay, I've got it.”
After the luggage was loaded, he opened the back door of the car and started to get in the back seat. I said, “Jim, what are you doing? Get up front!” He just shrugged his shoulders and said “Well, I didn't know.”
He was an incredible man. I still remember riding in that car with him and popping in the Earl Shoaff CD. I asked, “Hey, you ever heard this guy before? He's pretty good.” Every hair on my arm stood up as I looked at the smile on his face. He enthusistically said, “Earl Shoaff, the man himself, talking about Cadillacs!” It was an incredible moment I will never forget.
I will miss his physical presence but the joy is in the fact that his philosophy will live on within all of us. Untold generations will benefit from what he shared with us because we will share with them.
He told me once that he kept Mr. Shoaff alive by keeping his ideas alive. We can do same with Jim's ideas. That way, he will be with us always.
Thanks again Mike. You are a class act buddy!

Mike, I think Jim Rohn wouldn't want me to feel sad, and plus he has educated so many people and has done so many great things in his life time. He managed to get you didn't he, and now it's your turn . .. and our turn. Thanks for the download Mike. I see him in you.
may he rest in eternal peace.he changed humanity.
Indeed a great loss, however, Jim Rohn will always remain immortal through his life-transforming contribution influencing millions around the world. He has just passed on the torch….
Mike,
Ouite frankly this is a huge vacuum for the world and for some us in the personal development circle. Great JR you are an invaluable authority sndv endless inspiration. We shall continue to spread your gospel and much more. See you at the other side when I have fully fulfilled purpose on earth.
Kindest regards.
Vincent
Yes, Mike I myself is new about Jim's contribution to personality development. But I have learned through his books and articles, and I was amazed how he showed us the way to become a person of responsibility and caring for others.
Dear Mr. Litman:
Thanks for posting about Jim Rohn's passing.
Have been a virtual coachee of him.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for writing about this post.
Jim Rohn was IMPORTANT in the lives of millions of people. The world has lost a special human being.
I've followed him for years and just recently listened to Success Equations for the 10,000th (only a slight exageratiom
time.
He was, as you say, a truly great man, and I will miss him.
It is no surprise that many successful people (yourself, Frank Kern, Tony Robbins etc) became leaders in their fields through the influence of Jim Rohn.
I would certainly encourage anyone who has not listened to his programs to do so.
He leaves a legacy matched by only the greatest men and women in history.
Rest In Peace Jim.
His love for prosperity for all mankind without reservation will live forever.
Hope will join him in eternity soon or later.
Rest in peace Jimi H
A true master that has impacted the many who would listen and study of the things he
had learned, is now no longer with us physically, but now a “living legend” through us
that remain. My prayers for his family and close friends. Another time of review of his
books and DVD speaches that he has made for us all is in order.
Thanks Mike for notifying me of the passing of Jim Rohn. I have many of his products and I am happy to have come to know him. He has been a contributor to my success through his commitment to sharing his knowledge. The world has lost a good man, motivator and leader.
The Money Motivator
I first came across Jim Rhon when I was an Amway distributor. I had 3 tapes of his of a seminar he did. I l got more pleasure listening to them than any music tapes.
A few years later I lent them to my youngest teenage son who lacked a bit of self belief. I asked him what he thought of them, and he just said they were interesting. Not to many years later he decided to go into business for himself and is now very successful.
I am certain that Jim Rhon planted something in his subconcious.
It is a sad time and he will be sadly missed….I still have the tapes.
Thank you Mike, i first heard about Jim in Anthony Robbin's book UNLIMITED POWER, so i went out to get his book, 7 strategy of success and ever since, i am not the same man. Jim is my Mentors' mentor. i like to call him our grand father. Sleep well Jim. we love you
amy brother passed away on Friday December 4th and Jim Rohn on the 5th…two great men gone! I was just reading one of Jim's books this weekend, not knowing he was gone. He will be missed! They both will.
Thanks Mike for providing space. I express my deep sadness over Jim Rohn's sudden death. He was a great philosopher, motivator, mentor, inspirer and author of many books and articles. He helped to change the millions of mind through different means.Though I have not got an opportunity to meet him personally but I have been an admirer of him always and will be. I believe his legacy will be alive for many years to come.May his soul rest in peace.
I can't get enough of Jim Rohn! His philosophy is super simple, but profoundly powerful. Thank you for posting this interview Mike. And thank you as well for inspiring and motivating me to follow my passion of helping others in the form of Life Coaching.
How sad to hear that Jim Rohn has passed on. I remember what a profound impact Jim had on my life when I was first introduced to him with the “Adventures In Achievement ” progrtam. The year was 1976 and I had recently joined Interstate Engineering as Director of Marketing for the IEC Security Systems Division. I was in way over my head as I had never before had the responsiblility of working in a large corporate environment and dealing with thousands of distributors. Some enterprising young man came by the corporate office to invite the execs to a free Jim Rohn evening seminar. Could have been Ron Pelz or Ron Reynolds or possibly even Richard Burnett. I honestly cannot remember. I do remember during that first Jim Rohn seminar that I wondered how he knew all the answers to my doubts about where I was headed with my life at that time.
Long story short; Jim Rohn turned my life around. (AKA “The Day That Turns Your Life Around”.) His AIA program gave me the tools and confidence to develop a successful career in management and marketing. I still have my AIA manual, workbooks, notes and most of the well-worn tapes. When my daughter was having challenges in High School, I took her to hear Jim and shared the AIA workbooks with her. Her life also took a more positive direction as a result.
What a great influence on so many people's lives.
a prophet of modern times, surely
Thanks and yes about sharing the Interview…
We'll connect w/ you about CWM…

Dear Mike,
Jim Rohn is a MAN OF ALL SEASON………………his memory will go on … R I P.
HIS CONTRIBUTION TO HUMANITY has affected millions of people around the world which I'm one of them.
I equally love Jim Rohn. I will terribly miss him. Even though we will keep having his past thoughts, his present and future thoughts are no more available to us. Thanks for your works Mike.
Mike,
Thanks so much for sharing this great interview with Jim Rohn. What a wise soul he was! I love his comments about success is what you attract by the person you become…. Wonderful insights.
Wow! That was a really good audio segment with Jim Rohn! I've become a huge fan of his over the past year since I first heard him.
I noticed at the end of the segment you said you made it sound like you would have him back on. Did that ever happen? I'm certain we would all enjoy it!
Thank you very much for sharing this. I think I'll throw a link up to this page on my somewhat new blog (http://spontaneousinsight.blogspot.com) – I have a lot of Jim Rohn quotes and insights that I post whenever I listen to his works.
Thanks again. It is a real treat.
Mike,
Thank you for your tribute to Jim Rohn. He was truly a great mentor to many and an influential thinker and business philosopher.
I was blessed enough to attend one of his weekend seminars over 10 years ago and much of what he said stuck with me.
No matter what his seminar, he emphasized this to all: “Seek always to become all which you are capable.”
He also spoke much of the Seasons of Life. In speaking of winter he said there are two kinds of people, those who are prepared for winter and those who are not. Jim was a man who never dreaded winter – he was prepared.
Rest well, Jim.
