Don’t Make This Success Mistake

by Mike Litman

Can’t stand it,

I can’t stand seeing people get hurt the way I did for a 7 year period.

I spent 7 years running around, circle after circle, procrastinating, inconsistent, and more.

You name the bad success habit. I did it.

I couldn’t quit, and after years of lack of focus, I finally saw the path.

A #1 best-selling book, helping hundreds of thousands of people, and a successful business has been result of finally ‘getting it’.

You can get it too.

If you don’t make this mistake.

“Mike, what mistake?”

Amigo, let’s go and I’ll tell you about it.

I got so pissed off 8 years ago that one day I just decided to do the opposite of everything I was doing in trying to build my business.

Instead of trying to make $10,000 a month, I tried making my 1st $1,000.

Instead of trying to make $5,000 a month, I tried making $500 a month.

Instead of trying to make $1,000 a month, I focused on making that 1st $100.

I made my goals smaller and I learned a very VALUABLE lesson.

***Every level of income demands a different you.

Let me say it again.

***Every level of income demands a different you.

I wasn’t yet the person to make $5,000+ a month.

Each level of income demands different habits and actions.

The key is to start, grow, persevere, and become MORE.

***Every level of income demands a different you.

Who do you need to be to make the MONEY and LIFE you desire?

Remember, you don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going.

Get going. Make your goals smaller and bring greater momentum into your life.

Celebrate your small victories.

You can DO IT. You can.

I believe in you. Now, believe in yourSELF.

Love Ya! You’re The Best!

Your Coach,

Mike

Mike,

Great Post. When you focus your life living successful from day to day and moment to moment, those moments and days of living successful start to have a cumulative effect.

When people go for things that far out of the grasp, they tend to get frustrated and give up but when you break your huge goals into bite size pieces and you will start to make progress and then those successful moments and days start to become successful weeks, months and years.

Keep up the great work!

Hi Mike,

You are so right. You have to crawl before you can learn to walk and then to run. You have to set goals that are reachable as a stepping stone to bigger goals. Each step takes you on a path of doing better on the next step. You grow, you as a person grows, and as you keep going up those steps you are becoming a different person and.

Dear Mike,

Thank you so much for this post : you are completely right. Too many people just start dreaming earning a lot of money from scratch quickly. This rarely happens, and if it does, it usually not lasts for very long. The Universe is so perfect, that it wants us to be able to carry each load of new responsibilities according to who we are. As you said, get better first, start moving and you will reap each step at a time! No greed, no hussle, just follow nature’s path.

Thank you Mike!
It’s so good to have someone like you to keep us on the good track; life goes so fast; frustrations are always a step away; we gave to be aware!

Hi Mike,

You seem to be one of the only gurus out there telling the truth about this subject. It’s great to have vision boards with a million dollars on it with a deadline of tomorrow, however the reality is it takes time to become the person who can handle that kind of income in order to make it and in order to deal with it once it comes in. Small victories that represent and shift in focus and habits is VERY important! I’m glad somebody is talking about this – maybe that’s why I have referred so many people to listen to you.

Take care,
Paul Beaudry

Thanks Mike, I appreciate your emails and posts. It’s a good relief from the usual spammyness (um, that’s a word starting now) of those I regularly follow.

Hi Mike,

Nothing else has worked, so maybe I will try to inch my way to a million.

Thanx for the suggestion.

Hi Mike,
Great post – loved it enough to draw a cartoon to illustrate ‘growing’. Please have a look and let me know your comments!?
Best wishes,

Hi Mike,

There is a nice quote by Charles J. Givens that says, “Success requires first expending ten units of effort to produce one unit of results. Your momentum will then produce ten units of results with each unit of effort.”

Every positive action you take builds up your momentum and qualifies you to reach the level of success you desire & deserve.

Thanks for the great post.

I agree with you. Creating bite sized goals is much better than trying to bite off more than you can chew. It is so easy to look at people that made 60k in 30 days or 24 mil in 24 hours and be frustrated because you didn’t get the same results. Then you think you are doing it wrong and change your strategies over and over again. It is the biggest mistake that unsophisticated marketers make. Marketing takes dedication and sticking to the plan over the long haul. It could take a long time for the marketing plan to show results. But someone that stops one technique and then starts another will never see the benefits.

Thanks again

Thanks coach, for telling us the truth. You ARE the best. I have never bought anything from you, but I have GROWN SO much, LEARNED so much and become so much more just from reading your posts! I love you and would love to meet you some day.

Thanks Mike. I love the way you cut to reality and keep us anchored in what we can do. It is about momentum and about building confidence in ‘baby’ steps. When we fail to recognise our ‘small’ victories, I believe what we are failing to do is to notice the opportunity to FEEL good, to FEEL proud of our achievements and to FEEL like doing more. If we FEEL disappointed then we know we will continue to exprience disappointment. Like you always say Mike, get going and be appreciative of it all. In that way, I have been creating a ‘me’ that I love to live with and my life is transformed. I may not yet have made my first million but I feel as though I have! I feel as though my foundations are firm and in place and I just keep on making small steps and saying thanks.

Thanks to you Mike, you are a GREAT coach.

Mike, I’m in the Healthy Cookie business and what I’m realizing is consistancy is very important when it comes to food so the notion of “Remember, you don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going” conserns me because people often will not give a cookie a second chance if they don’t like it the first time. I feel I have to get the fomula right before it hits the market.
Thanks John

Once again Mike, you NAILED it! Like I always say on my radio show, “You don’t have to get it right, You just have to get it going!” Oh Yeah, I stole that line from you – I did give you credit the first 3 times. J.K.

Make it a great day,
