Celebrating 2007

by Mike Litman

Dear Winner,

So many people haven’t received the encouragement, appreciation, approval, and recognition they’ve needed.

For some this goes back years, decades.

Whether there was a lack of it in your homes, your teachers, your environment or institutions, many people didn’t get their SELVES lifted as much as they would have liked.

That was the past. We must correct this injustice.

It’s time to release the past and start acknowledging the most important person in the world to you.

YOURSELF. Yes, YOURSELF.

The best way to help others, your family, your clients, and others is to bring your BEST self to the table. By loving yourself, you can then extend great amounts of love to others.

It’s tough to give away what you don’t have.

I want to CELEBRATE you and your 2007.

Yes, maybe you haven’t reached all your goals. Yes, maybe you’ve made a few mistakes you wish you didn’t.

Ok, big deal. You might have procrastinated a little bit more then you’ve hoped.

So what.

It’s time to celebrate and FOCUS on what you did well.

It could be tiny, small victories or large ones. They’re ALL important.

All of them lead to greater momentum and service in your life.

I’m opening up the PRAISE PODIUM. We are celebrating YOU and US in 2007.

We are praising and raising ourselves. We MUST be our best cheerleaders. We can’t rely on anyone else for this.

I want you to share 2 small or big victories in 2007. 2 things you’re excited you did, learned, shared, it doesn’t matter. Want to share more than 2, then do it!

If we can’t acknowledge and celebrate ourselves, how will others celebrate us?

The best way to be attractive to others, is to FIRST be attractive to yourself.

As you praise yourself, feel free to also praise someone else’s achievements you’re reading about on the blog.

The best way for others to come in your life and encourage you, is to first encourage other’s. BE, what you want.

Your best days are ahead of you and they can’t wait to SEE you too.

Step up to the PRAISE PODIUM and share your victories for 2007. Big or small.

Click ‘comments’ or see the ‘Leave A Reply’ box and share your 2007 victories.

Praise yourself. Raise others!

Love Ya! You’re The Best!

Your Coach,

Michael

P.S. Allow people you care about to celebrate themselves. Share this page with them.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your newsletter. It’s been of tremendous benefit.

I won a couple victories in the course of the year but my greatest victory which I believe is worth celebrating is the level of clarity I am enjoying right now in terms of what I want to do and where I want to take my business.

This is something that I have never experienced in the past. I am really thrilled about it and the knowing that I am in for an exciting time in the coming year.

I love you Mike and I wish all the best that you are reaching out for.

Hi Mike!

When looking back at 2007 from the shifted perspective of celebrating my victories, I feel like the kid in the candy shop – do I have to limit myself? ;-)

Just a few of these personal victories: I sorted through my late husband’s 40 years of accumulated papers, etc. ..then I sorted through my own years of paperwork, etc. accumulation and am now down to one 4 drawer file cabinet of “really important stuff”. Additionally I sold most of our furniture – keeping only the bare essentials and a few family antiques. THEN I sorted through the thousands of books we had each acquired and simplified all that into 11 cartons —- all in preparation for my move out of the large house we had bought 4 months before he died. Not only did I move out of the house, I moved to a completely new community where I knew no one!

Celebration: immediately began meeting the most wonderful people – making incredible contacts – was asked to co-chair a health and wellness expo [GREAT success by the way] – was invited to be a board member of the organization that sponsored the health expo – continue to make and expand on fabulous connections!

Maybe business hasn’t grown quite as quickly as I would like since the move, but I am joyously making new connections daily and have shed the “hermit” type existence I led after Duane’s death in my old community.

So I celebrate the simplification, the paring down, the abundance that comes from having less “stuff” and more peace, the new connections and friends, the new extended family [if you will], the new opportunities that continue to pour in, the fun of each day!!!!!

Duane died on December 16, 2004 – and Christmas was our favorite holiday! We were married slightly less than 5 years — but we were soul mates and most people [including us] thought we had been married forever! [in a good way ;-) ] This is the first year I’ve approached this season without depression, sorrow, lack of joy, and so on!

I celebrate the change of location, the new friends and the simpler life this year brought so that I can continue moving forward, honoring Duane’s wonderful spirit, sharing his love with the world and finding joy again!

Most of all I celebrate the FABULOUS emails you send out Mike – they have enriched my life, helped keep my mind focused, uplifted me, been the gentle and swift KITA I’ve needed upon occasion!!! AND they always make me smile! Smiling while learning helps imprint the message more firmly in the brain! I am SO very grateful to be part of your community!

I celebrate YOU! for all you accomplish [the known and the unknown]!

THANK YOU!

Barb

Hi Mike,

I find this to be a very interesting post. It has been my experience that most people hold themselves back from their success because of looking for approval from others.

You know that our success will be based on the value we provide to others, but when we look at others for approval, we are at the mercy of their paradigm, which may not work for us.

It’s time to celebrate a break from the masses and a push to success from the value that we provide by the unique value that we provide.

You have an ability to communicate success ideas that resonates with others and my guess is when you started down this path you were faced with opposition from the people who you thought cared about you the most.

“What are you doing that for?”
“Get a real job.”

But you have pushed past all of it to the point of helping 1000′s of people to reach and go for the success they deserve.

Here’s to Your LifetoSuccess,

John Clark

I just read all these responses. You should be proud of yourself, Mike. You’ve made a huge impact on sooo many people! Including me. I have had a rough financial year as a Realtor in Charlotte, NC. And have decided that it’s okay. 2008 is going to be an awesome year because I have this really great mentor/coach who keeps me focused and challenged!! Thanks Mike, for helping me to remember that money isn’t always what makes you wealthy!
Two accomplishments: 1. I didn’t Quit! 2. I’ve started meditating and found you!
Bless you Mike Litman.
