Book Recommendation And Facebook

by Mike Litman

Read this quote 2x.

Einstein said, “Don’t look to become a person of success,

look instead to become a person of value”.

This is one of the most powerful quotes I’ve ever read. I’ve

been following the advice of this quote now for 7 + years.

2008 and beyond is the age of collaboration, connection,

networking, and what I call LOVERAGE.

You have to build your value daily and then give it away.

The more you give and share what you know and who you know,

the more of what you have increases in value. Try it.

Let me suggest a book I just finished. This book will help

you increase your value, build your network, develop

relationships, and your income will grow.

For some, soar.

The book is called, ‘Never Eat Alone’ and the author is Keith

Ferrazzi.

It’s a great book and I suggest you read it, underline it,

and then read it again. That’s what I did.

Buy it at Amazon or your local bookstore.

Next…

I joined the social networking site Facebook.com a few days

ago and it’s great…

To be able to connect with other entrepreneurs worldwide,

create relationships, and work on joint ventures is

PRICELESS.

Facebook is FREE and to me, every entrepreneur should be

using it.

If you’re on Facebook, add me as a friend, if you’re not on

Facebook yet go here to set up a free account (then add me).

http://www.facebook.com/people/Mike_Litman/1200702082

It takes 30 seconds to set up a free account.

Stop focusing on the money. Start focusing on building your

value and helping others.

The money will follow.

Love Ya! You’re The Best!

Your Coach,

Michael

Hi Mike,

I haven’t dived too deep into Facebook yet (but will now) but have to tell you that as founder of an online music-based radio station, joining the other big social networking site (MySpace) has done wonders for my listenership. I only joined at the end of March and the connections I’ve made have been awesome and listenership doubled in roughly one month (and is continuing to grow at a fast rate).

Note to anyone new to social networking sites: MySpace is very “music oriented”. For what Mike Litman is talking about, Facebook is more appropriate.

One more note. There are a lot of people trying to build their “friend’s list” like trophy hunters. Don’t just add names. Take the time to build some relationships.

Cheers,
Michael Dunn

Mike,

I was a non-traditional student, going to college when my oldest son was in college and I have my Master’s Degree in Social Work. The reason I got that was because I wanted to make a difference in other people’s lives. That is very important to me and I have now found a home based business that I can coach and train people to be successful and in doing that, I can make the kind of money that I have only been able to dream about in the past. College was an awesome thing for me to accomplish and I will never regret doing that, but I realized I had gotten a formal education and a career that was not going to make me the kind of money I wanted. You CAN have both, helping other people and making money when you go into it with the attitude you were talking about. I am in a place today where “loverage” is a very big part of what I do. Thanks for your emails!

Hello Mike,

I made many attempts to sign up for a Facebook account. After 45 minutes, I’m ready to just call it a night. Facebook doesn’t even list a method to contact Facebook to resolve the problems with the automated sign-up. If you have suggestions on how to contact a live “web tech” person with Facebook, please pass it on to me. As soon as I get my signup and registration completed, I’ll be sure to add you as one of my first Facebook contacts.

Thank you.

Hi Mike, Great recommendation!

Never Eat Alone is an awesome book I read a while ago that really puts forward an exceptional concept: The notion that when you create value for others and increase your value to the world overall, you will eventually gain great success for yourself as a natural function of the value you create.
People will be willing (and even eager) to figure out ways to help you succeed because they value your support and contributions to their own success. Often they will provide help to you before you even need to ask.

This very same concept has worked wonders in my own life and contributed to several of my businesses being very successful by providing value to others.

When you add more real value to other’s lives you will almost always see an increase in the support from other people and a genuine desire by them to be of help to you in your own endeavors.

Have a super week and keep up the exceptional support you provide to everyone!

Hey Mike!

Great information! I especially like the quotes of Albert Einstein myself and he was way ahead of his time. If you can imagine it, you can achieve it!

Hi Mike,

Focusing on building value is fun and what better reason to do the work that we do; whether through our own business or as an employee.

Thanks again [and yes, will get on to facebook and glad to add as a friend].

Hi Mike…

Great quote to live by!

Tried adding you to facebook but I’m not quite sure which one you are — there are quite a few with your name! And I tried adding the URL but it didn’t work. Anyway… if you could maybe give some more info as to which one is you! That would be helpful.

Anyone can add me Jeanne May and below my name is Australia.

Look forward to connecting with others.

Hey Mike,

What I find so intriguing about the social networks is the fact that you can tap in to positive people all over the globe in moments notice.

You couldn’t put together a group of positive people in your own neighborhood this fast.

Keep up the great work.

Mike, I collect quotes because they are very powerful and I find it reassuring to read quotes from over a hundred years ago that have value today. I will be adding Einstein’s quote to my list. Yes, FaceBook is a great way to network. I will be adding you to my friend’s list.

I forgot to add one more thing. It is interesting that you mentioned FaceBook at this time. This week Mari Smith is hosting 4 tele-seminars about how to make good use of FaceBook. The first call was last night and the next 3 will be today, Wednesday and Thursday evenings and they are free.

Thanks, as always Mike, for the great tips.

You are totally right about being of value to someone.
That is our first step with any new contact – what we can do for them (often free advice or added value plans based on their unique needs) versus how much can we make. It pays off for us and for clients.

Hi Mike,

In moments when I’m frustrated and stuck I always try to read your mails and your comments. I really love it and your mails they cheer me up and give me again the strength I need to follow my dreams and goals. You stay in front of obstacles every day and you have no one near you that you can ask what to do.
These moments are right to listen to your “Unleash Your Greatness” DVD’s and read a chapter in your book “Conversations With Millionaires” and read your newsletters. After doing this you really feel yourself refilled with energy, new thoughts and with the right mindset to keep going.

Thanks Mike

I am already on MySpace twice, with “band” and “personal” accounts, and was wondering what FaceBook adds to the mix.

Thanks,
