Perfection Gone Wild

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

(Move your chair in a bit closer. This is important.)

For 7 years of my entrepreneurial life I brought along with

me a group of ‘best friends’.

Let me share them with you.

Procrastination.

Scatterdness.

Frustration.

Indecision.

Inconsistency.

And my REAL best friend back then, PERFECTION.

For those 7 years, I couldn’t make 2 dimes as an entrepreneur

and all I did was run around in circles.

I knew I couldn’t break the pattern of entrepreneurial

failure until I beat down its being culprit.

That being PERFECTION.

I see so many good hearted people leaving their potential

untapped because they don’t take their ideas to the

marketplace.

Some of them are scared.

Others are afraid of what their family and friends might say.

Fear rises. Action decreases.

PERFECTION screams out for attention.

Aim for perfection as an employee.

AIM for ‘good enough’ as an entrepreneur who is just getting

going.

That’s what I did and everything changed for the better years

ago.

I bought into a philosophy years ago and I suggest you do the

same.

Here it is.

***You Don’t Have To Get It Right; You Just Have To Get It

Going.

Read this again. Even say it out loud.

***You Don’t Have To Get It Right; You Just Have To Get It

Going.

Yes, living this ‘idea’ changed everything for me.

It will do the same for you.

Remember, the best way to learn something is to teach it.

Teach someone this idea in the next 72 hours and you’ll ‘get

it’ at an even deeper level. You will.

I care about your success. I want you to experience greater

fulfillment, happiness, and success.

Now, GET GOING. You can do it.

I believe in you.

Love Ya! You’re The Best!

Your Coach,

Michael

P.S. You have what it takes to make a difference in 25,000

lives. Maybe more.

You Don’t Have To Get It Right; You Just Have To Get It Going.

Rachel Ray, Leo, And You - Read Today

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

Let me share with you a few things you can USE to start shakin’ and bakin’ at a whole new level.

Are you ready or really ready?

First off, flipping through the TV I came across Rachel Ray’s 30 Minute Meals. Put what she was cooking aside for a second (it looked great).

Here’s what I saw.

PASSION. It just flies through the TV.

Rachel Ray LOVES what she does.

Do you know Rachel Ray had a public access cooking show for
3 years or so and made pennies if anything?

Talk about not getting it right and just getting it going.

LOVE. (remember this for a second).

Rachel’s show was done. I surfed around and saw an interview with actor Leonardo DeCaprio.

Many observers consider Leo to be one of the greatest actors of his generation.

Follow me here.

So Leo is being interviewed. The interviewer says you have many influential friends, ever thought about running for political office.

He stops for a second.

Thinks and says.

“No, couldn’t. I LOVE what I do too much.”

Love. (keep this in your mind)

Let me challenge you for a second.

Next time you put on the TV, pay attention to who you like and who you’re watching.

Ask yourself:

Does this person LOVE what they’re doing? Are they playing to their strengths or weaknesses?

Here’s what’s funny.

You can do the SAME THING.

“Mike, well I don’t know what I enjoy doing.”

Ok, great.

How much time have you spent in introspection?

Really looking at your strengths, weaknesses, what you enjoy, where you’re most celebrated. Also, get a friend, someone you trust and talk with them about it.

Remember, go where you’re celebrated, not tolerated.

Take time to DECODE GREATNESS.

Watch Tiger, Oprah, Spielberg. Watch LOVE in action.

They’re no different than you know.

Come on’. Let’s make your next 7 days incredible.

Spend more time in the areas you LOVE, you enjoy.

Watch how good you feel. See your increased results.

Doing what you don’t like as a career isn’t fun at all.
Been there, done that. (ugh)

You know you were born for greatness.
Time to stretch yourself even more, you agree?

Love Ya! You’re The Best!

Your Coach,

Michael

Loverage - Apply This Today

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

You know what time it is?

Exactly, it’s time to shake’ and bake’!

Onward.

6 years ago, after years of struggling I started to
experience success in my business.

My book ‘Conversations with Millionaires’ was changing lives
and my business was profitable. I wasn’t ready to buy an
island, but things were moving forward in a good way.

At the time I asked myself, “How did I get to this point?
What was I now doing differently?”

Now only did I trace my success then back to a principle, I
also coined a word in the process.

Not only was this the defining concept of my early success it
is now the driving catalyst in my life and business. Now more
than ever.

“Mike, I’m in, let’s keep going.”

You got it.

The defining MANTRA of my business and the word I coined is
LOVERAGE.

Say it out loud. (L-O-V-E-R-A-G-E)

Loverage: using love and leverage to help others help you.

While I might have coined a word, the principle I’ve tapped
into is the visible, but invisible, thread of success and
happiness that’s been trying to help humanity throughout the
ages.

Unfortunately, most haven’t cared to listen or really HEAR.

I’ve built my career on GOING FIRST.

Serving. Leading with value. Looking to help others. You can,
you -should- do the same.

Loverage is the answer you’ve been looking for. It is.

I’ve gone through years of abnormal self centeredness,
extreme selfishness, and it didn’t work for me. I’m not sure
about you, but it didn’t work for me!

This isn’t about me. This isn’t really about you. “Mike,
what’s it about?”

It’s really about a principle, a LAW, that goes back
thousands of years and has been taught to each generation,
decade after decade, century after century.

The few, those who have achieved and lived lives of success,
fulfillment, happiness, and peace have heard its truths.

I call this principle LOVERAGE.

Loverage is about building yourself up and giving yourself
away.

Loverage is about becoming a person of VALUE.

Loverage is about loving yourself and then loving others.

Loverage is about living a life that your great grandchildren
talk about.

Loverage is about asking the question each day, “How can I go
the extra mile for X?”

Loverage is about treating others as you’d like to be
treated.

Loverage is about becoming a resource for others.

Loverage is about giving away something that you have and
knowing what’s left will multiply.

Loverage is about seeing the GOOD in others.

Loverage is about using the power of love and leverage to
help more people and help yourself both financially and
personally.

Loverage is about realizing that people are important, that
people need to be appreciated, and recognized.

“Mike, prove to me that this principle works.”

You got it.

Book of Proverbs: (The richest man who ever lived wrote)

“One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another
withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.”

“A generous person will prosper, he who refreshes others will
himself be refreshed.”

“He who seeks good finds goodwill, but evil comes to him who
searches for it”

Ernest Holmes: Success Philosopher, early 19th century.

“Love and co-operation will yet to be found to be the
greatest business principle on earth. (Book - Creative Mind
And Success)

James Allen: Success Philosopher, late 18th century:

“So long as you persist in selfishly seeking for your own
personal happiness, so long will happiness elude you and you
will be sowing the seeds of wretchedness. Insofar as you
succeed in losing yourself in the service of others, in that
measure will happiness come to you, and you will reap a
harvest of bliss.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson: Success Philosopher, 18th century

“The magnanimous know very well that they who give time, or
money, or shelter, to the stranger-so it be done for love,
and not for ostentation-do, as it were, put God under
obligation to them, so perfect are the compensations of the
universe. In some way the time they seem to lose, is
redeemed, and the pains they take, remunerate themselves.
These people fan the flame of human love and raise the
standard of civic virtue among mankind.”

Napoleon Hill: Success King

“The habit of going the extra mile leads to the attainment of
that spirit of love, for there can be no greater expression
of love than love which is demonstrated through service that
is rendered unselfishly for the benefit of others.”

Powerful.

Loverage.

I’ve made tons of mistakes in business. I’m not perfect by a
long shot. What is true is every time I’ve tapped into the
awesome power of Loverage, great things happen.
