What Activates Potential

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

It’s just wrong.

“Mike, what is?”

Follow me here. (grab your favorite beverage)

This frustrates me greatly.

In my line of work, every year I see, talk to, or hear from
thousands of people looking to improve themselves.

Tens of thousands.

Though unfortunately there’s something all too common I see.

“Mike, what is it?”

Lack of personal growth.

Let me say that again.

Lack of personal growth.

Too many people are letting years of their life go by and
they seem to be staying in the same place.

That’s my observation.

Let me say this.

We were born with potential, what we do with it is up to us.

There’s way too much potential sleeping in all of us. All of us.

There are books that need to be written, songs to be sung,
gardens to be developed, clothes to be made.

Get it going.

What happens if our potential and the gifts we were MEANT
to share never see the light of day?

When you look back at your life, how will you feel?

Get it going.

Stop letting months and years go by with little to no REAL
growth.

I believe you should be growing daily. Yes, DAILY.

Get it going.

Start ACTIVATING and releasing your potential.

You activate your potential through ACTION.

Action releases potential. Action releases your God given
gifts and talents.

Get it going.

We need to realize this.

We are all unique. No two humans are the same.

What that means is all us of have a UNIQUE GIFT that we
were born to share.

We have a unique gift that can solve a problem for someone.
Not everyone, someone.

When we solve that problem consistently we experience
greater meaning and financial success in our lives.

Get it going.

Perfection is a myth.

Get it going.

Action activates your potential.

How much of your potential will you use in -your- life?

Love Ya! You’re The Best!

Your Coach,

Michael

P.S. The GREAT Cathi Watson shared this earlier on the
blog.

Hi Mike,
I had to smile, my book “The Elixir of Youth” Secrets of a
Spring Chicken-self-published was printed without proof
reading. I had to get it going, under the gun to present a
book review re: “The Elixir”…and after reviewing, not too
many corrections. I choose spiral as opposed to bound
cover, this way I can easily delete a page and add.

Cathi Watson

Cathi didn’t wait to get it right, she just got it going.
Now, she’s gaining momentum and doing great.

What Happened Last Night

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

The room couldn’t believe it last night.

“Mike, they couldn’t believe what?”

Last night, I spoke at the ‘Learning Annex’ in New York
City, the Learning Annex puts on seminars in a few big
cities around the country.

Here’s what people couldn’t believe.

Two things.

First, they couldn’t believe that my #1 best-selling book
‘Conversations with Millionaires’ wasn’t proofread for the
first 6 months it was sold.

“Mike, why wasn’t it proofread?” Because I had no money and
I had to just get it going.

Second, the audience couldn’t believe that when I first did
my success radio show in 1998 (I paid $75 for 30 minutes
of air time each week), I only had 3 listeners to my show.

My parents and one ‘real’ listener.

These radio shows no one ever heard three years later
turned into the conversations featured in my #1
best-selling book ‘Conversations with Millionaires’.

I wasn’t going to wait and start my radio show when
everything was perfect.

No.

I got it going. I got it going.

The audience last night couldn’t believe it.

Most of them had never heard me speak before.

The idea of ‘You don’t have to get it right, you just had
to get it going’ was new to them. Brand new.

Though, after I said it 2x there was a ‘Eureka’ moment in
the room.

They got it.

The light bulb went on.

I said “I don’t have to get it right…”

In unison, out loud they said, “I just have to get it
going.”

They got it.

What a night it was.

Powerful.

18 people approached me after the event and they all said,
“Mike, thanks, I’m going to get it going starting
tomorrow.”

We are powerful, more powerful than we know. Much.

What we don’t use, (gifts, talents, abilities) we lose. Use
it or lose it.

Get it going.

Publish your book.

Upload your website.

Post an article.

Make your prospecting calls.

Make an offer on the real estate property.

Get it going.

One of my early mentors said to me “Mike, nothing great has
ever been achieved without stretching yourself.”

Amigo, stretch yourself today. Get it going.

Ask yourself: What is one thing I don’t want to do today,
but if I did it, would move my life/business forward?

Get it going.

Love Ya! You’re The Best!

Your Coach,

Michael

P.S. Help me, help you. Does it benefit you, does it inspire
you to hear about others who are waving goodbye to
perfection and ‘getting it going’ ?

Should I share these stories with you or is it not
necessary?

6 People Who Got It Going

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

They’ve said “No. No. No” to the ‘Get It Right Crowd’.

Nothing will stop them from moving forward and getting it going.

Nothing.

I want to celebrate, honor, and high five 6 courageous and brave
individuals who shared their ‘get it going’ story on the blog yesterday.

You are inspiring to the whole community and myself.

Read below and see the ‘get it going’ mindset in action.

Also, below you’ll see 2 audio clips from a recent 75 minute training I did. Enjoy them.

What will you get going today?

Thanks Mike. I’ve pulled out a training manual that I have been
procrastinating on for the last 3 months or so because it wasn’t
‘perfect’. I’m sending it out today to a group of people who have been
waiting impatiently for my creative efforts to bear fruit. So off it
goes… Thanks for the reminder to just get it going.

Mike,
This has really hit home with me. I’ve got two half finished cartoon
ebooks that I keep saying ‘I’ve got to get them perfect before
publishing’. They’re still on my desktop gathering dust and not
earning a penny. I can always “perfect” them later!
Thanks a million!

Best wishes,

Richard

Aha,

Will I be the first to comment on this?? Thanx Mike, you’ve done it
again, spot on!

I just turned my back on “them” today, publishing an inspired article
on my blog, that would not have been published if I had listened, and
waited for it to be perfect. I can still hear “them” (no, it can’t be
voices in my head, can it?!), but I’m leaving my article online! It
may not be an “A”, but it’s there!! And I can feel how that boosts me
to write more, practice makes… productive!

You wrote about models the other day… Well, I’m really lucky to have YOU!!

Thanx again for your wonderful work! Go go go!

Cheers,

: ) Maria

Mike,

You are so real. I took your advice and doors of opportunities are
opening for me. Procrastination held captive my dreams as though under
a big black hat. Taking action with passion allowed my mind to see
beyond the darkness; to attract my vision. I removed the hat and set
myself free! Now I only attract light and harmony. I can see clearly.
I design my life and know exactly what I want; and how to serve others
by giving value.

Thanks!

Nikki

Hi Michael,

My friend you have spoken the truth. I finally figured that one in
late January and I am taking action. The thing about web sites, blogs,
anything is this; you can always edit when you have a serendipity
moment. Thank you for speaking the truth.
Kind regards to you,

Ruth

Mike,

The first time I heard these words from you I printed them on my daily
binder. Since that time I have launched two websites and several
products. NOTHING published has been perfect. But here is what
happended…rather than wait, I jumped out there and got my
Grief|Recovery message out there. I was just offered to write my very
first column, was last weeks top article in a local paper, and have
received many many emails thanking me. You truly do not have to get it
right…you just have to get out the door and get it going!!! thanks,
Mike!

Marsha

High five.
