Why Your Progress Stops

Motivation, Success 14 Comments »

The enemy.

Your enemy.

Plain and simple.

This enemy stands ten feet tall, holding your goals hostage.

For years, I was held in its stalking grip as well.

“Mike, enough, tell me what you’re talking about right now.”

Amigo, relax. Hold on a second.

What’s so terrible about this enemy is that it’s completely
invisible.

You can’t ’see’ it.

Ouch.

Though it can ’see’ you and hold your talents and gifts
hostage.

The enemy has multiple names.

Some of them include.

Satisfied.

Comfortable.

Indifferent.

One of the greatest enemies holding back people today from
reaching their greatest potential is COMFORTABILITY.

People are just way to comfortable at their level in life.

F.W Robertson said, 85 years ago, this, “Whoever is satisfied
with what he does has reached his culminating point - he will
progress no more. Man’s destiny is to be not dissatisfied,
but forever unsatisfied.”

Then the GREAT Orison Swett Marden says this (92 years ago):

“One of the saddest things in life is to see men and women
who started out with high hopes and proud ambitions settle
down in mediocre positions, half satisfied just merely to get
a living, to plod along indifferently.

Oh, what a tragedy there is in being content with mediocrity,
in getting into a state where one is indifferent to the
larger, better things of life.

Love

Motivation, Success 27 Comments »

Millions of people spend their day in the absence of love.

I did for years as well. Years.

“Mike, love?”

Yes amigo, love.

Not that kind of love. A different kind.

We can’t express our best when we spend our time in an
environment that we don’t adore.

A painter’s canvas. An athlete’s field. A writer’s tablet.
They’re in love.

Tot many people are running around pursuing Guru #5 and his
gimmick, then Guru #27 and his gimmick, and then Guru #51 and
on and on and on.

Instead, they should be pursuing what they LOVE.

What you LOVE, what is the master key to your service and
success is so CLOSE to you that you most likely don’t even
see it.

Let me bring the great Napoleon Hill into this conversation:

From Napoleon Hill:

“A person is most efficient and will more quickly and easily
succeed when engaged in work they love.”

“When a person is engaged in work that they love it is no
hardship for them to do more work and better work than that
for which he is paid, and for this very reason every person
owes it to himself to do his best to find the sort of work
they like best.”

“The person who engages in work that he loves best does not
always have the support, in his choice, of his closet friends
and relatives.”

Arousing Your Ambition

Motivation, Success 22 Comments »

It seeps into your skin. Your blood.

Most people don’t even realize it.

It stays for years, decades, and more.

Almost like an invisible gate that ‘zaps’ you when you try to
leave it.

It ‘zapped’ me for years. I didn’t even realize it for a long
time.

“Mike, what are you talking about?”

Move your chair in amigo.

***Most people in your world don’t promote a PRO GROWTH
Environment.

We have no clue how much a negative, small thinking, blame
filled environment zaps our ambition, our powers, and God
given talents.

Life is about DEVELOPMENT.

Life is about self discovery.

When it’s “blame the rich” or “Buy this brand, it does the
same thing as the brand 25x’s in its price”, we settle for
the status quo, we settle for MEDIOCRITY.

When we settle, we defeat the purpose of life.

Which is growth.

Grow or die. Nothing stays still.

For many, their environment labels negatively one’s interest
in growth.

When one chooses Mediocrity vs. Growth, one without really
knowing, also makes another choice.

They choose inferiority over excellence.

In appearance, in their homes, in their clothes, and in their
quality of work.

Remake Your Character

Uncategorized 24 Comments »

Sloppy. Disorderly. Scattered.

Inconsistent.

Procrastination.

The character of an individual living on the path called
mediocrity.

Clearly mediocrity.

That was me.

Yes, me for 7 years of my life. Maybe even 8.

Lame. Lazy. Lethargic.

Today, millions of people keep their potential held hostage
through a mediocre character which leads to mediocre living.

A great life can’t be lead without great character first
being built.

Go back.

Go back and read hundreds of years of success literature.

From King Solomon to James Allen to Orison Swett Marden to
Napoleon Hill to Earl Nightingale, they’re all saying the
same thing.

***REMAKE YOUR CHARACTER

Throw greed, selfishness, jealousy, and envy to the wind.

Start deleting the weak habits and weak thinking that is too
dominant in your life.

Make yourself over.

Transformation: (here’s the definition)

1.
a. The act or an instance of transforming.
b. The state of being transformed.
2. A marked change, as in appearance or character, usually
for the better.

Transform yourself.

Not on the surface. Below the surface.

The Frustrated Entrepreneur

Motivation, Success 21 Comments »

They chase. And chase. And chase.

“Mike, what happens next?

Good question amigo.

What happens next is 5-15 years suddenly pass by.

What happens next is 5-15 years pass by and the results they
have show little to no real improvement. Maybe a little.

I see this every day when I meet and talk to good natured,
great people who just aren’t getting the results they desire.

Stop thinking the ‘grass is always greener’.

Stop chasing the latest, greatest online gimmick.

Stop chasing Guru #12, then Guru #25, then Guru #79.

Stop being like I was for so long, an IMMATURE entrepreneur
(maybe this isn’t you, but it is many people today.)

News Flash:

START chasing your GREATEST self.

START raising your VALUE each hour.

Start believing you’re THE EXPERT.

Start believing YOU have what it takes.

Orison Swett Marden, the 1st editor of Success Magazine (late
1800’s) said this:
{Grab Orison’s book, ‘Prosperity’ and ‘Making Life a
Masterpiece’ (Amazon.com)}

“The greatest thing in life is not to make money but to raise
ourselves to our highest power, to call out the hidden
beauties of our nature, and to make ourselves attractive and
helpful instead of repellent and unsympathetic.”

Obviously making money is important, though what PRECEDES
that is you making the MOST out of yourself.

One more point.

Trace Back To Go Forward

Motivation, Success 20 Comments »

For years I excelled at taking actions and having thoughts
that COULD NEVER have produced positive results.

Years.

I’m probably not the only one who’s done this.

I’m sure of that.

So many people today have practically become experts at
repeating over and over again lame, limiting beliefs and
destructive, negative based thinking.

It’s like a record that plays over and over again.

The results are always the same. Blah.

“Mike, how can one stop this negative cycle?”

Good question amigo.

Let me share one idea with you today.

***Trace Back to Go Forward

“I really lack self approval.” <<<Trace that belief back,
where did it come from?

“I don’t have much self respect.”<<<Trace that belief back,
where did it come from?

“If I succeed, I’m scared to make others I know feel
insecure?”
<<<Trace that belief back, where did it come from?

“I need to be perfect before I start my business.”
<<<Trace that belief back, where did it come from?

When these limiting beliefs arise in us, if we can just
relax, be patient for a second, and trace back this
thought/belief and see where it came from, it would surprise
us.

You, me, all of us have picked up cr*p over the years. Mental
garbage.

Free Seminar Monday - NYC Area

Motivation, Success No Comments »

The coaching business changed my life.

I love it. I just love it.

The ability to help people, the ability to change people’s
lives, the ability to develop a great income for yourself,
and the ability to work when you want, where you want, what
else could you ask for in a business?

I’m so grateful that I discovered this business.

Over the past 11 months, my team and I have been working on a
breakthrough solution to help coaches build a successful
business; nothing like this has ever been created.

Ever.

I’ll have more details on this for you soon.

Let me get to the free seminar I’ll be conducting this
Monday in ‘New York City’.

I’ll be running a free workshop for a bunch of my clients
titled, ‘How to Build a Successful Coaching Business’, and I

coaching, books, DVDs, and more and I have a lot to share for
people with a strong desire to help people and turn their
passion into profit.

Who is this free workshop for:

- If you have a coaching business, though it’s not growing as
fast as you’d like

reach more people and make more money
- If you have a passion for a subject and would like to learn

Great Job

Motivation, Success 3 Comments »

I just want to drop you this quick note
and say, “Great job!”

Yes, Great job!

There’s something you’re pursuing, there’s a victory you just
achieved, an obstacle you just overcame, and a “GREAT JOB” is
in order.

There’s way too little positive encouragement in our culture
and this has terrible effects in people’s lives.

People’s self respect plummets, their self image gets
distorted, and they forget that they’re better then the
greatest diamond ever mined.

While encouragement from others is important, self
encouragement is even more important.

“I’m going to have a great day.”

“My family is going to have its best year ever.”

“My income is growing each day in a great way.”

“People like me the minute they meet me.”

One of the foundations of success is SELF RESPECT.

Can others respect you if you don’t respect yourself?

You are important. Remember that.

The work you do each day is important. Remember that.

When we don’t place value on ourselves, our work, our time,
our money, and our appearance, success becomes very difficult
to achieve. Not just financially, in all areas of our lives.

You, me, all of us need to hear “Great job” from time to
time.

Why not start looking for the best in others and find someone
today that you can sincerely compliment.

Eliminating Your Weaknesses

Motivation, Success 24 Comments »

For years, I let ‘weaknesses’, errors in my philosphy, and
negative recurring thinking, destroy my results and I wasn’t
even aware of it.

“Really Mike?”

Absolutely amigo.

Most people do.

Though most people never take the next step, the step all
SUCCESSFUL people take.

Introspection.

Truly working on yourself HARDER then you do your work.

Stupid beliefs and mediocre ideas we bought into years ago,
this is what’s stopping most people today from living a life
filled with excellence. Excellence.

Until you go INWARD and correct yourself, the results you
want won’t appear.

They won’t because they can’t.

Introspection.

Where do I get this belief from?

Why do I always think this same negative thought about
myself? Where does that come from?

What do I believe about money?

Do I get my feeling of importance from being a victim or
being a winner?

Most people unknowingly buy into a ‘philosophy of life’
decades past and live it today like it’s really true and
good.

Doing the inner work isn’t always easy. I must say that.

Though, what’s worth it, is YOU becoming the person that you
were meant to be.
