A Call To Conceive

by Mike Litman

“Mike, conceive?”

Yes, conceive.

Let me explain.

First off, why do people stagnate for years or decades in their life.

Answer: They don’t have a PICTURE/VISION in their mind that is greater than their current reality.

Let’s keep going.

Why do so many people have little to no personal growth their whole adult life?

Answer: Without a PICTURE of a future GREATER than where you are today, there’s no incentive or need to grow.

You’re reading this right now for a reason. A very important reason.

Here it is.

It’s your time to CONCEIVE.

Let me say it again.

It’s your time to CONCEIVE.

Until you CONCEIVE of a future that you want, that will excite you, you’re not going to release all your God given gifts.

When you shackle your gifts, you hold your income and personal growth hostage.

Stretch yourself.

What would an amazingly happy marriage look like?

What would $50k or 100k monthly income look like?

Where do you REALLY want to take your family on vacation?

What charities could you donate thousands of dollars to? And why is this important?

Make these pictures bright.

Conceive.

Take 1 step at at time, though STRETCH YOUR VISION of what’s possible.

Get yourself excited about life and what you can accomplish.

You have to conceive on the inside before you live it.

Today is your day to CONCEIVE what’s possible.

There’s more in store for you. There is.

You can do it. You certainly can.

Love Ya! You’re The Best!

Your Coach,

Michael

You’re right Mike, it starts with a conception. I made a brand new vision board and looked at some of the older ones I had and noticed most of it had come true in some form or another. More focused effort this time!

And if you clicked on the link because you’re trying to conceive a baby, click on this to see why it might not be working: http://www.sharethecause.com/detoxqueen. I don’t always read the blog but the word conceive was interesting!

linda April 1, 2008 at 3:22 pm

You know Mike … you made me nervous there for a second! Conceive?! I’m too old to worry about that (or at least I hope so).

Though I can certainly PICTURE a life with more than what I have … sometimes I have difficulty actually getting myself to BELIEVE it’s possible. (I’m working on that!)

But THANKS TO YOU! I’m headed in the right direction! I’ve been dabbling with a business for the past 5+ years (sad!) but STILL hadn’t perfected what I wanted to use for an approach! After getting your repeated urgings of ‘You don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going …’

I DID ! Thank you sooooo much!

I’m STILL not yet sure if it’s the ‘perfect approach’ for piquing people’s interest (though the business itself is darn near perfect) but if it doesn’t work, I’ll just try another one!!! : )

I’ll have to say that I’m pretty proud of myself for GETTING IT GOING! : )

You’re the best Mike! Thanks!

Hi Mike,
From the outside based on results over the last 3 years I have stagnated as I have failed to raise $US130K to continue medical research.

I believe I have a vision of success but due to the herbal basis of the research I immediately eliminate probably 90% of the most common funding sources.

Do you have any suggestions on how I can move forward.

Best regards, Sue.

Coach Mike,
As usual this blog is short, to the point and power-packed. I almost screamed when I read this. Oh, did I embrace a vision as soon as I read the first few lines of this blog: A Family Center for a very impoverished community in my town.I Thank God for the Light that shines through you and all of us who will do what is demanded of us.

Dear michael, you are always inspiring! Today I am happy and grateful, but I went through a difficult time when Maria, my daugher, died. Look at http://www.days-of-goodbyes.com on Thursday, all proceeds from her story will go to Silent Spring Institute, a model alliance of scientists, physicians and activists dedicated to identifying – and changing – links between the environment and women’s health, especially breast cancer. Do a good deed this Thursday. Support us. Ragnhild

When you talk of a picture that is greater than a current reality – I think that is has to include a picture also of an environment that is greater or more beautiful – more bountiful – and more harmonious as well!

Leonie April 1, 2008 at 5:49 pm

Mike,
Thank you, most “gurus” tell you what you must do, but rarely tell you how!

YOur post is short and to the point, easy to visualise, which has always been difficult for me.

Thank you again.

Brilliant! I know that writing out your goals and than picturing yourself achieving them “in your mind” is very powerful. Think about whatever you would like to manifest the most in your life.

Michael,

I need to conceive. What a wonderful message! I am not successful in my network marketing business because I do not stretch myself and I do not conceive how things really could be. To be able to donate untold amounts would be such fun! Thank you for the inspiration.

Jeanne May April 1, 2008 at 6:32 pm

Hi Mike… that was so good and so true. I know and work with many people who just stumble along in life, with no major plans, and no idea what they really want to do. Their life consists of predictability and stability… going to school, leaving school, getting a job (maybe), having a family, and working… getting old and what else follows.
That’s existing… it’s not living.

Take care
Jeanne

Dave Ponciano April 1, 2008 at 6:44 pm

Mike, Your right-that’s me to a t. It was hard reading it, but that’s why I haven’t taken any action on my goals/dreams. I have a picture/vision, but I focus on the fear, not the reward for ‘stretching out for the fruit’ beyond my comfort zone to get it. I hope you get what I mean.

I’m going to start today and GOYA (get off ‘my’ a…). Start doing what entrepreneurs do–take the risks necessary so they can start achieving whatever they set for themselves. I’m taking it one day at a time; one step at a time. Great advice.

Thanks a million !!

Revered Mr.Mike

Hello and greetings.

Thank you for proving me much required ‘FUEL’for my energies that I consume in my undertakings to excel.
God bless you.

Great advice. If you have no vision, how can you grow? If your vision isn’t big enough, it will hold you back from your potential. I’m going to take your advice and conceive my life’s possibilities and start from there. Thanks Mike

Mike you are right but for an average man it is very difficult to CONCEIVE, STRETCH AND HAVE A VISION. A poor man is extremely busy to think about all these things. Moreover, people are willing to come out of their comfort zone including this author. Great work Mike but let me know how can one be consistent and persistent in Stretching Vision and Conceive.

Olov Forsgren April 2, 2008 at 12:05 am

Mike – Thanks for confirming what I believed in during all years. I thought that at my age (69) the growth would have less importance but I have realized that it’s still important and I’m growing my vision even more these days. Thanks’ for helping me with that!

Charmaine April 2, 2008 at 3:40 am

Mike, I have been receiving your emails for a few months now, and am really enjoying them. They make such a difference to my mood in difficult circumstances.

I am also reading about visualisation and decided to try it out.
Somewhere I read that if we want wealth to come into our lives I should write myself a cheque for any amount I want, “Just for being me,” put it in my purse and get it out now and then and look at it and start expecting changes to happen.
Also, that I should believe and have faith in what I want to change for the better. I did this with real excitement at what would change for the better, finally!

We wanted to buy a new van as the one we have has caused us many problems and we couldn´t get rid of it because when we bought it, we reluctantly used long term financing which we knew could backfire on us if it needed repairing. The final straw was a few weeks ago, when it did break down and we ended up paying over 700 euros for it to be repaired. Before we left the car workshop, we decided there and then to get rid of it and try and get a new one. We had already been refused once before because we owe so much money on it. The result was, after much deliberation, the bank finally approved it but then we were turned down by the salesperson as he had forgotten to add the money we owed on the old van into his calculations. All this time, I kept saying to myself, “We have a new van, we have a new van,” and I refused to give up. Then the salesman said we had to get another 5,000 euros, which for us is a lot at the moment and we didn´t know where we would get it from. We begged and borrowed, something we never do and managed to scrape it together. We now have a new van which we are picking up tomorrow! Yippee.

Visualising what you want, believing in it and having faith works, it really does.

Something else, I am a hobby artist and writer but would love to be published. Well, still having belief and faith after the “van victory” I decided to approach a Children´s Literary Agency with one of my nearly finished books and they said they were interested in me sending my work! I said I can do the pictures too. I can´t wait for their reply. Even if they don´t take me, it has inspired me to carry on.

Keep up the good work Mike, maybe you´ll see my works of art in a gallery one day or in the bookshops!

Mr. Litman,
Great column on conceiving and creating the vision.
An old song says, “Is this all there is?”
I know I want more in life. Like the student on the path I await the Buddha. I am ready for the teacher (coach) and the enlightenment.
There must be more in life. I am ready to stretch.

Hey Mike!

Conceive! Reminds me of the quote:

Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.

- Napolean Hill

Mike, I want to share with your readers one very important thing that will boost their ability to “conceive and believe”

I call it a “Vision Movie” and instead of the old-school “read your intentions night and day” I now use the “watch your interactive vision movie night and day”

I’ve found that the mind thinks in pictures for most of us and this is why it’s so powerfulk when imbued with words and music to engage the subconscious mind.

You can read more about this new phenomenon here

Thanks, Mike! I am printing this one to re-read 10 times today! on my list! I have my dream pictures in my imaging book, but sometimes I get busy and forget about it. Today I will focus on the ultimate goal, as I do my work. Thank you for a great reminder! I needed that today!

Rebecca April 2, 2008 at 5:40 am

Thanks, Mike. You are absolutely right – if we don’t have a vision, we have nothing to move toward!! Keep up the great work – you are an inspiration to all of us!

ken April 2, 2008 at 6:26 am

Mike, I have taped your motto “You don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going”, through-out my house, my car, my wallet, etc.
That phrase has been so liberating to me. You see, I was brought up with “if your going to do something, do it right”. As a “perfectionist” I held a higher mental picture of what I wanted than I could ever put into action.
I could go on forever, but suffice it to say, I am working on creating an organization for orphaned children of our Armed Forces veterans, and thanks to your wisdom, the web address has been secured.
Watch for ThankYouVets.org to be launched soon.
Thanks, Ken

I loved your blog! This is the first one I’ve seen! My upline sponsor sent it to me! I am so glad! I’ve know all this that you said but never was able to put it heart & do it out of fear of not getting anywhere! Thanks for the reminder & incouragement! Pray with me that I’ll be able to move forward with this NOW! God Bless & keep up the great writings!

Thanks again Mike for awesome words of wisdom. We review our vision several times each day and update it and revise it frequently. We also personalize it significantly so we can relate with it deeply.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Mike…. They are beautifully said; so empowering. And in many ways than one, they run parallel to these great quotations:

“To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.” (Anatole France)

“If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.” (William Arthur Ward)

More power — May Life’s abundant blessings be with you always!

Mike,

You are GREAT! I just don’t know how to describe you and your work. From not getting it right to conceiving. Thanks so much for this inspiration.

This reminds me of an article I share with my Nigerian subscribers on my blog some months back. Let me share a quote from the article, What Do You See, http://www.naijamotivation.com/2008/01/14/what-do-you-see-2/:

“All improvement in your life begins with an improvement in your mental pictures – Brian Tracy”

Thanks Mike for sharing this.
Love you ;)

Nice Mike.

Napoleon Hill said, “Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

Also the starting point of all success starts with desire. The need to be, do or have something more than what you have now.

DESIRE. CONCEIVE. BELIEVE and then ACHIEVE.

When people come to me with complaints or problems, I always ask, “How do you want it to be?”

The answer that generally comes back is “I don’t Know.”

Or worse yet… that someone or something outside of them has to change in order for them to be satisfied. And that’s not write either.

The starting point always has to come from the desire or conceiving of the ideal outcome.

Thanks Mike and keep up the good work.

I never did stagnate. I always did think big and attracted big… but the problem is, the conspiracy out there since 1989 manipulates it where the coming becomes hard and stressful, when it’s supposed to be easy (like it used to be)!

Can you please explain that?

L.A. April 2, 2008 at 6:07 pm

Yes it is time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike, this is such a simple yet powerful reminder! It’s a printer for sure. I might also suggest that the inner atmosphere that surrounds what is conceived is crucial to actually birthing the manifested “seed.” As in pregnancy, we need to tenderly, mindfully care for ourselves while we are allowing what is conceived to be birthed.
Thanks for all you give!

Charmaine April 8, 2008 at 1:53 pm

Mike and to all you people out there who really need to have faith and believe.
Once again I received another of your inspiring emails today.
Since my last posting, if you remember, I applied to a Children´s Literary Agency.
Well, guess what? I received a “Positive Review” from them and they want to send me a contract and by my agent.
I have been jumping up and down and whooping for joy for the last hour!
I had so much faith since the “van” miracle, (see my first posting further down the page), and so much belief, that every day for the last few days, I kept saying to myself, “I have an agent, I have a pulishing contract to sell my children´s book.” Well, the first part about the agent is in place! The second is to come.

In the last week I have gone crazy and written a whole list of things I really want to have come true and I have every faith and truly believe that they will happen.

I am so astonished and most of all grateful. We should all be grateful for what we have, even if it isn´t much, and what we haven´t isn´t at the moment, but I keep on visualising and I know things are happening out there.

I hope that with this posting, I can encourage other people out there to have faith and believe that good things really can and will happen for them.

Try it. Just focus on something small and believe really hard in it as if you alreay have. Keep trying and don´t give up, even if you feel disillusioned, keep going. Just bat those negative thoughts away!

Keep up the good work Mike.

Hey. I like coincidences. They make me wonder about destiny, and whether free will is an illusion or just a matter of perspective. They let me speculate on the idea of some master plan that, from time to time, we’re allowed to see out of the corner of our eye.
I am from Sierra and learning to speak English, please tell me right I wrote the following sentence: “We a community of people who support lgbt and lgbt friendly businesses, I was looking for new lesbian movies on onemorelesbian.”

Thanks :p. Neron.
