6 People Who Got It Going

by Mike Litman

They’ve said “No. No. No” to the ‘Get It Right Crowd’.

Nothing will stop them from moving forward and getting it going.

Nothing.

I want to celebrate, honor, and high five 6 courageous and brave
individuals who shared their ‘get it going’ story on the blog yesterday.

You are inspiring to the whole community and myself.

Read below and see the ‘get it going’ mindset in action.

Also, below you’ll see 2 audio clips from a recent 75 minute training I did. Enjoy them.

What will you get going today?

—–

Thanks Mike. I’ve pulled out a training manual that I have been
procrastinating on for the last 3 months or so because it wasn’t
‘perfect’. I’m sending it out today to a group of people who have been
waiting impatiently for my creative efforts to bear fruit. So off it
goes… Thanks for the reminder to just get it going.

Wanja

Mike,
This has really hit home with me. I’ve got two half finished cartoon
ebooks that I keep saying ‘I’ve got to get them perfect before
publishing’. They’re still on my desktop gathering dust and not
earning a penny. I can always “perfect” them later!
Thanks a million!

Best wishes,

Richard

Aha,

Will I be the first to comment on this?? Thanx Mike, you’ve done it
again, spot on!

I just turned my back on “them” today, publishing an inspired article
on my blog, that would not have been published if I had listened, and
waited for it to be perfect. I can still hear “them” (no, it can’t be
voices in my head, can it?!), but I’m leaving my article online! It
may not be an “A”, but it’s there!! And I can feel how that boosts me
to write more, practice makes… productive!

You wrote about models the other day… Well, I’m really lucky to have YOU!!

Thanx again for your wonderful work! Go go go!

Cheers,

: ) Maria

Mike,

You are so real. I took your advice and doors of opportunities are
opening for me. Procrastination held captive my dreams as though under
a big black hat. Taking action with passion allowed my mind to see
beyond the darkness; to attract my vision. I removed the hat and set
myself free! Now I only attract light and harmony. I can see clearly.
I design my life and know exactly what I want; and how to serve others
by giving value.

Thanks!

Nikki

Hi Michael,

My friend you have spoken the truth. I finally figured that one in
late January and I am taking action. The thing about web sites, blogs,
anything is this; you can always edit when you have a serendipity
moment. Thank you for speaking the truth.
Kind regards to you,

Ruth

Mike,

The first time I heard these words from you I printed them on my daily
binder. Since that time I have launched two websites and several
products. NOTHING published has been perfect. But here is what
happended…rather than wait, I jumped out there and got my
Grief|Recovery message out there. I was just offered to write my very
first column, was last weeks top article in a local paper, and have
received many many emails thanking me. You truly do not have to get it
right…you just have to get out the door and get it going!!! thanks,
Mike!

Marsha

High five.

Mike,

Awesome! This is exactly what I tell my students? Who are they? Actors!

So many of them are cautious, approaching the acting exercises we do — specifically for classical scene study. I finally had to tell them, “Look,” I said, “I’m not going to take anything away from you. When this class is finished, you will be able to take what you’ve learned and run with it to the degree you wish…

…BUT ONLY if, during the class, during the learning process, ONLY if you FULLY COMMIT.

When the class is over, you can throw out the window any of this new stuff you’re learning, and go back to your old ways. I will not be able to erase or remove any of that — nor do I want to.

ONLY BY FULLY COMMITTING, however, will you reap the rewards I have for you.”

So many of these students are protective of the gifts that they have that THEY ARE NOT USING THEM.

True acting (which is not PRETENDING, but being rather HONEST) requires a degree of vulnerability, which can be scary. It’s frightening to put your emotions, your “guts” on the line, and maybe have someone “reject” what you’re doing.

But you don’t get anywhere in life by keeping one hand on the side of the pool, afraid of what might happen if you swim away from the safety net.

Mike, you have helped me so much on a personal and business level by demonstrating for me that it is necessary to trust in oneself, trust in the guidance that we are given, trust in the GIFTS that we are given, and take the risks — not blindly, but through self-education and trust in ourselves, and what we’ve got inside.

Thank you, Mike.

Hi Mike,
I have been repeating those words to myself and telling everyone else that “YOU don’t have to get it right YOU just have to get it going” well last week finaly got it going…on Feb. 14th I wrote my first article and got it on my new site…I am so excited :) The Best things are yet to come…

Mike,
I’ve heard great sayings, pieces of advice and coaching over the years, one of them being “you don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going”. In this case we see some people here who have taken your words to heart and applied them to “start” getting results.
Congrats to you 6 for taking action!
I personally used this in getting some of my first articles online. My little voice was saying: “not ready yet”, but I heard your voice louder saying to get it going. I followed yours. As a result, articles are now online producing results and I look forward to writing more.

Thanks for being great!

Paul

Hello Mike and everybody!

I started reading your new article, about 6 people who did something great, thinking “hm, curious to see what those six achieved…” – and there was my name, under my post!!!

I’m so honoured to be on your high five top six list!!! Thank you! And thank you all for cheering me on, it feels GREAT!!!

On my fridge I have this quotation: “It’s hard not to get good if you surround yourself with greatness” (did you write that, Mike?) Well, that’s what it’s like to be part of this community, so let’s just keep rubbing off all that greatness on eachother and everyone, shall we?

Cheers,

: ) Maria

Mike,

Two years ago I came across you and your material and the number one thing that has stuck out, besides that you are a GREAT coach, is your phrase that I repeat to my clients religiously “You don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going”, wow, what a mantra!

Continue to shift our paradigms towards greatness my friend. Proud to call you my coach.

Thanks Michael… so many good points and so many wonderful examples! When you become aware of your growth each day it’s amazing how your growth accelerates… and the more you acknowledge your growth, even if it is tiny growth, the more you align yourself with opportunities for growth to occur.

It is so good coming here and listen to you!
